THE STORY SO FAR
Vac was formed in 1989 under the name Toxic Coma, a humorous band that used amiga and atari st trackers. Bryan Erickson adopted the producer name Hexfix93 after being referred to as Disease Factory on earlier VAC albums. He chose this moniker as a way to counteract negative influences with determination. Hexfix93 served as both producer and musician for a significant period in VAC's history. Following numerous disagreements with band members over the years, tensions reached a breaking point during the covid outbreak, leading to the dissolution of the most recent incarnation of VAC. Hexfix93 is now creating VAC by Himself, , this situation echoes past instances such as when Todd departed during The Art of Breaking Apart, resulting in VAC having only 1 member for much of that album's production, as well as for Maldire and Subcon. Although a new bandmate briefly joined the fold, this partnership also dissolved during the pandemic, leaving VAC to once again be represented by Hexfix93 alone. Since the passing of Dave Heckman, the proprietor of Metropolis Records, VAC has turned to crowdfunding for support as they navigate these changes.
