VAC News 1/16/2012 Single Plans After all.

So, there is going to be a single after all, and the reason for this more than anything is that i love my cover of “EVEN NOW” by edward kaspel to much. I cannot release covers on LPs, too much of a hassle on paying for rights, so much easier for singles. The sad thing is most of you fans missed out on the last singles as well, on lust for blood wound we covered the cure’s figurehead and hardly anyone knew. Probably will be the case with this single as well. The single will be an A side, remix of it, then a bside remix, and the kaspel cover. I hope this comes out really soon i hope to have this finished in a couple of weeks. Lps done in 3 months. I also am half way through writting yet another track for the new VAC LP. Since i removed a couple of tracks for the single, i had to make one more to keep the track count at 12 tracks for the new lp. I keep losing my voice when i sing as well, this is why the new vac is taking longer than I thought, beating a cold now, you can tell by the toxic coma vocals, my voice doesnt normally sound like that LOL.

Revenge of the Cubase 5

I love renoise sure it is what i used to make most of the new vac lp. The last 2 tracks I have done in cubbase 5, let me tell you, with the roland a-500 controller it records my midi in perfectly, better than renoise. With the delta pci audio card, the midi on that is 2 to 3 ms of jitter, usually just 2 ms so recording the virus a, and mopho are tight as fuck now in renoise and cubase. I have to admit, for some ways i like cubase way better, i still have to sum all the tracks in renoise or saw studio and add a little top end in the eq on my cubase tracks, but this is not a problem now i figure out how to make cubase 5 work for me, and i love it again. Tight midi, i’m getting work done really fast with it, and i love the two new tracks I did with it, reminds me of calling of the dead era VAC with more glitchy industrial shit in it. LOVE IT. Cubase finally works on a pc i built, quad core gigabyte motherbaord, stable midi, stable everything. WOW.

Also, my doggy has been keeping me happy though. Mini poodle mixed with schnauzer. Named him after my favorite tv character at the moment.

Velvet Acid Christ News HAPPY 2012!

Will the earth have a new butthole? Is this the year the world ends? No. The world is not going to end, will humans see turmoil? Don’t they always in some part of the world? Will this be any different than any other year? Last year was horrid, bp oil, japan’s reactors. I mean come on. things are getting worse, and better. Like always its just your perspective. Any how someone on my forum just had is birthday, toxic coma made him a birthday song. I plan on doing this for my favorite users on the forum all this year. :)

Vac news: I just finished the music in a new song, the last song on the lp. Have about 75% of the lyrics written and I am working on making the vocals kick ass every day. This lp will be out this spring. I will have it finished in 2 months. This new vac is all electronic. 100% Disease FActory aka Hexfix93, no one else helped, why it took a bit longer. This is one of my favorite LPS. I am very proud of how musical and dance industrial it is. I took a lot of time making it melodic, musical and have groove and angst and spook.

Synths: Software: Tyrell Nexus 6, Hexfix93′s take.

^ above is my lead demo of how I can get old school juno sounding leads with great portamento and great resonance with tyrell nexus 6. I think this synth is amazing. Not only that, it is free. It is a little weird to program, the way the lfos and modulations are set up took me a while to get used to. The presets are kind meh, but if you take the time to program your own sounds you can get very juno and jx 8p type of sounds out of it. From pads, to strings, to leads and bass and acid. I simply love the way the filter is set up where you can smoothly transition from low pass to high pass, and man the high pass is so aggressive and great for software. Really blown away. The resonance is pretty damn realistic as well. This is like only 15% away from sounding like a true real analog poly synth. Still get aliasing on some stuff, nyquest filter of dacs and software will always damn every digital synth a little when it comes to sync sounds and fm sounds and playing really high octave notes. Nexus 6 can really be a cpu hog as well. This is ok by me because man the raw sound is great. No fx and it sounds great. The oscillators and filters are brilliant, full, and alive. Most software synth oscillators are not as vibrant and big. Even compared to some of the hardware VA’s that I still love like the nord lead, and jp8080, and virus B. This thing seriously gives all of those hardware synths a run for their money. Great filters, and great osc. I heard a rumor that they are going to put this engine into a hardware synth. I would defiantly be in line to buy it. Forget those stupud 8080 clone soft synths. This is a cpu killer, so be sure you have a high powered quad core or 8 core machine. This sounds ANALOG. It’s my mks 80 killer. I give this a 8 out of 10. A must.

Finally done. My first sound for video. Did the musix and sound fx, sequenced it all, mixed, engineered, recorded produced, and sound design etc… YAY! I hope i get more sound work. Had a lot of fun with this. Hope to do more work soon.

Struggling with vocals. I am still stuck in song writer mode. I want to keep making the music, not the vocals. I keep writing and writing. I am trying and trying though. I hope people know that I write fiction, that I really see myself as a horror writer. I talk about my nightmares. I see VAC as a haunted house band, a horror movie band. This is an expression of art and nightmares. By no means do I want anyone to be bad. Do bad things. Get in the way with anyone’s right to the pursuit of happiness. I am actually a nice person if you know me. I try to help people the best I can. This is why I review gear, and talk about production and even on facebook and other mediums talk to others about anything they want and help if I can. I do not want a revolution, I do not want power. I do not want to tell other people how to live or be. All I am doing is making art. On the side, I try to help people the best I can with what I know. I am no guru. I am not an egomaniac. I never want to control anyone.

I have a weird sense of humor that a lot of people could not handle. Still, I wish the best for my fans and everyone who is trying and struggling through life. I am struggling so hard these days I just hope things work out for us, you, me and all those who are trying. I am trying to get a good job to help my sick mother. I am trying to make my life better for the people I know and love. Sure I’m the VAC guy, still I am a person, a lot of people don’t get to see that through all the hype and band image bullshit they have seen in the media over the years. So go ahead and comment below if you want to know about the real me.
