New Velvet Acid Christ and how I should release it.
Man Singles are a waste of money.
So is doing an lp over 10 tracks.
It sucks to do an lp and half and get paid for one lp.
I really want to do a box set instead, maybe with stickers and something else + extra songs that would of been on a single, but is not on the single because there is no single because singles do not sell.
My real reason for doing a single was to be able to release my cover of EVEN NOW by kaspel. I have thought about that, and i think i should release that for free on the internet as a downloadable free track for my fans on the net and just forget about putting it out on a cd all together.
Problem with box sets is metropolis really sucks at doing them and hates doing them and always decides against doing them.
I do not want to release a 15 track lp and charge the price of a regular lp. You should only get 10 songs for the price of an lp in my opinion. Other wise we musicians are getting ripped off on our efforts i feel.
What do you think?

A box would be awesome. It's been a while since I have purchased one because lately bands aside from Haujobb and Wumpscut haven't really done them. Seems that the double lp has been the popular thing (with the mix disc) but I honestly feel that the second disc becomes a waste of time. It's different if the mix disc is released later - doesn't muddle the album right away imho. But a box with extra tracks and some goodies is very appealing to me! +0 I would love to hear your version of "Even Now"! (hopes)

1 remix.
What i am thinking about doing. Is cutting it down to 10 tracks, and just making the next lp half written.
This makes the most sense still.
I don't like doing so much work for so little money, especially now when stuff isnt selling all that great to begin with.
That is what I am doing. You get 11 tracks, 10 and a remix. That is the new lp, the other tracks will go on the next lp after and man those tracks are shaping up to be killer.

Cool. I am excited. Any type of promotion you need I'll be glad to help man. I'd shell out $20 or more for the new album. It's love for the artist and the work that people need to remember. The drones need to wake the hell up. VAC is a coming.

Personally I don't mind paying extra money (like 30) or something for your album instead of the regular 20. But I definitely don't speak for your entire selling audience - from a business standpoint you might take a hit if the price is greater than usual but personally I think that paying for what you get is the best! I think that it's right that you would charge more!

I like the idea best of just putting these extra songs on the next lp, then when i got to finish the next lp half the songs will be written.
YAY..
I cant stop writing music, that is my problem, the virus a has me so inspired to do stuff and man i love what i am doing.

You are creating a wonderful scenarios Bryan.
Release your 10+1 LP, and use the rest for the next album. I will buy both.
I fucking love box sets, but tend to be cost prohibitive. If I can get a fucking job by the time your album comes out I will totally want a box set. But if not, all I will be able to afford is the CD.

Sopor Aeternus always releases her music on box sets. I ended up spending over $100 on one, partially because it came from Germany. They can be pretty damn awesome if done right.
I say go for it, who knows what will happen.

Two lps leave open even more anticipation. I am happy with your idea man! I mean Calling ov the Dead and Twisted Thought Generator had mixed versions included and they were regular lps. Smart thinking!

Being a collector myself, I will be buying the lp(s) when they are released. A double lp, similar to what Leæther Strip has been doing, would be awesome as well, and I would be willing to spend the extra money for something like that myself.
