 Marvel vs. DC
Which camp are you in? Are you one for the Boy-Scout-in-Blue-Pajamas and his Flying-Nocturnal-Mamal-Man, or do you prefer Arachnid-Guy and Not-Badger?
Or are you one of those dirty rebels who likes Johnny the Homicidal Maniac, Lenore, and Rex Libris?

 Re: Marvel vs. DC
DC. And it's more for Green Lantern than anything. I just don't really give a fuck about Marvel aside from the Avengers and DC has many characters I like.
Plus DC's animated stuff really turned the tide in their favour for me.

 Re: Marvel vs. DC
I'm split down the middle. I come from a marvel house, with much love for the the Fantastic Four, Captain America, and Sgt. Nick Fury along with Green Arrow, Bat Man, and Plastic Man.
Marvel, in my opinion, wins. Why? Because when they acquire 'new' stuff, it comes from my favorite Comic mags. Judge Dread, Sinister/Dexter, Venus BlueJeans, ect all come from 2000 A.D.

i liked silver surfer : (
jthm was fun, so was sandman. dc feels overall bland to me, marvel has this "oh, neat! shiney!" image could've been something neat (see:maxx), but decided to focus on fanny packs, boobies and overly sized muscles.
trencher was also fun.

trencher was also fun. Image had Rob Leifeld doing everything. He's probably the worst "Artist" I have ever seen.

(not to mention the retarded perportions, retarded allignment, et cetera) he definitly gets teh "shiney" factor down. there were quite a few errors in trencher (mainly registry fails, from what I recall), but the story was fun. how does one get payed that well to draw that well? /well, considering what im finding out, it's more the rule than the exception, that sort of thing occurs often in the arts realm (excuse my poor grammer), it seems to be much more about delivery and connecitons than anything else.

 Re: Marvel vs. DC
DC's got a leg up for one simple reason. Vertigo. Preacher/TransMet/SandMan and let's not forget, HELLBLAZER!

 Re: Marvel vs. DC
DC wins solely for Transmet.
But saying that, Warren Ellis turns everything he writes to gold.

 Re: Marvel vs. DC
To be honest, I never take note of which company makes the comics I read. I'm really not into the stereotypical super hero comics though. My favs are more along the lines of The Maxx, Shade the Changing Man, Transmet, Maid Marian, DMZ etc.

 Re: Marvel vs. DC
Now that I think about it I just tend to follow Warren Ellis and Grant Morrison around.
Though on DC's end I do like Geoff Johns a lot.
