 Hi all mac / logic question my friend gave me a dual 2.5ghz G5 for 50 bux.. I use to own a newer intel imac and ran logic pro 8 on it just fine.. will i run into any issues on a G5 with it? or any tips or tricks someone could give me? Im going to be using a presonus firepod as soon as i go pick it up from my moms house next weekend. lemme know anything you guys can offer please. Thanks

Re: Hi all mac / logic question It should still be OK. Mac OS X isn't nearly as heavy on the processor as Windows is (XP, Vista or 7). We have an older Mac Mini at work with a 1.25 GHz G4 and 1 GB of RAM and it flies on Mac OS X 10.5.8.

Fuck plugs! plugs suck any way, cept some basic eq, and logics compression for sidechain is good.

Re: Hi all mac / logic question Dual G5 2.0 (first gen) are some of the worst computers ever made. They had so many issues and things ran like dog shit. Good luck with it. Just fyi Im not even sure Logic 9 supports PPC anymore but 8 should run ok. 50$ is still a steal.
