Post Bandcamp anyone?
I signed up a LOOOOONG time ago, but never did anything with it.

Was just curious of what people think of Bandcamp.

GO!

but to those of us NOT on a label...is it really beneficial?

im also curious about how "creative" you can get with making your page.

Having a lot of pages is hard to manage, its too hard to promote them all, its best to find the best place to sell it, and i think band camp is good for that, stick with it until you get a label.

From the music consumer point of view: I love bandcamp and I purchased most of my music there since I've discovered it. Listening through a whole album without interruptions before you buy it is priceless. And immediatly downloading the album after purchase in FLAC format even if you bought the CD and have to wait for shipping? GENIUS!

I don't know how good itunes works because I didn't use it and never will. Is it even this good? I've heard of horrible conditions there for musicians.

There are a lot of labels on bandcamp, so I think it's only useless if you are on a label that doesn't work with bandcamp, or did I miss a thing?

Ps: "Name Your Own Price"-selling is the best thing ever invented. If this option is aviable I will always give more than I have to.

i will never sign to a label again. i had the worst experience on the last label i was on.

done and done.

ill look further into Bandcamp and possibly just do that instead of actually creating an entire website i have to pay for.

Much love for Bandcamp. Best quality for streaming and sharing. Page is costumizable enough without the possibility of turning into a clusterfuck like myspace.
It's clean and straightforward. I only have this as a bandwebsite with my music on it and link to it through Facebook, Tumblr and the handful of forums I'm on.
