so i've had a blender sitting in my kitchen for ages and never really used it. just decided to try making some gently heated raw soup this evening, it was so good!
here's a thread where you can share your favourite blended recipes, either for smoothies, soups, juices, whatever.
also i'm looking for suggestions on really good, healthy, energy boosting things to add to my blends
. just going by the menu at the juice bar in town, i'm gona try getting some wheatgrass, ginseng and stuff like that. what do you use?
here's the soup i made tonight (inspired by recipes on http://thesunnyrawkitchen.blogspot.co.uk
2 celery stalks
1 medium carrot
1 smallish avocado
a handful of spinach leaves
half a courgette
the remains of a broccoli stalk
squeeze of lemon
a little EVOO
some dried rosemary, chives, cumin, white and black pepper
and some sea salt
blended until almost smooth but left it a little chunky as i like crunchy veg
then i heated it up very very gently while constantly stirring, just until it was a little bit warm, less than 40 degrees centigrade/104 farenheit which is the temp enzymes would die at.
