Re: Let The Right One In
I watched it at my local cinema.
Now I've just read that an American remake is in progress. What the fuck?! Sorry, America, but why do they always do this?! They take class A European films like 'The Edukators' and 'Funny Games', films that are real pieces of art, and completely original ideas, and try to make them American, accessible for the stupid dumbed down masses that can't be bothered to read. it's fucking bullshit. Come up with your own ideas!
I hate most Hollywood films. I'm really into Indie films and anime now, I don't bother with Hollywood shit unless it's something groundbreaking like District 9, or something by David Lynch, Linklater, the real greats. I really look up to those directors. They are true artists, but for the most part there aren't that many American directors that impress me.

Re: Let The Right One In
Its one of my fav films, i havent seen it in awhile though, i want to get the dvd.
I didnt know they were remaking it, thx for the info. I dont understand why they're trying to remake it, they're doing the same thing to Oldboy, its just sad. i dont like most modern american movies, but I think there have been some good directors, like Darren Arofonsky. His last movie the wrestler was really good. I find myself watching alot of foreign films or old ones.
As of now, my fav director is park wook chan, i love his movies, and i want to see his latest one "Thirst". Another vamp movie.

Re: Let The Right One In
I really don't see how they can remake any of the movies in the Vengeance Trilogy with the same content or impact. I am not looking forward to the day when I am going to have to explain why "Oldboy" is one my favorite movies and why the Korean version is better than the American version.
