not an expert on video, but, the little i know about digital video-
1920x1080p i believe is the high standard to be met; most cheap cameras hit this
(and likely much higher, if you do time lapse video via dslr)

if its shot as video, you hafta be a lot more anal about lighting it properly, contrast range is shallower unless you have a retardely expensive capture device.
