Re: New LP progress monitor thread. I made the new lp for loud volumes, i did no master compression to glue it together and i prefer it. The only thing is it only sounds really great really loud, do most of you listen to music full blast like i do, esp upbeat in your face stuff?

Re: New LP progress monitor thread. With like the TC album there was no need to turn it up uber loud because you can already hear everything. If I can't hear the things I want to with the new VAC then I guess I'll have to turn it up but personally I try to follow my ears on volumes which are tending to go for quieter listening these days as it allows for longer listening.

Re: New LP progress monitor thread. Optimizing for loudness ups the ante. I only play music loud when it's *really good*.
I will say I've appreciated how clean and rich VAC sounds at high volumes (on certain albums) compared to other artists. Perfect for driving - which is when I typically really crank it. |
