havingsecondthoughts wrote: W.H.T.S.W.H.T.K. is my fav track. I really love that decent melancholic touch in it and i'd say this song in particular is the most emotional track for me for some reason. I always liked that saying too. Despite the fact that the clip comes from a fairly cheesy movie (entertaining though!), I always liked thinking that it was symbolic for the greater desire of knowledge. Humanity's constant struggle to seek the "truth" and "have to know". Sort of an agnostic way of thinking...but I liked it. Maybe I just smoked too much weed when listening to it. It always makes you THINK you're thinking "deeper". When sometimes you do, other times you dig too deep and forget how you got there.

Dead TomorrowI really love the progression. The way it starts out really intense and goes through two periods of ambiance before reaching a chorus that is strengthened by the guitar line. Gets me every time. I made a collage inspired by the track;

Discoloured eyes!
It has such a hypnotic and desperate atmosphere - like being in a sci fi horror movie. I love the string synth starting in the middle of the track. Always wished to hear it in a club.

The Dead (Death Wish Mix)
It made me happy when I was a kid in HS and made me hate people less

"The Hopeless" - this song is really cool because of the opening bass thing (how it bounces back and forth in the speakers), then the really trippy drums come in, the vocals are REALLY creepy actually and all of the synths are really tight and odd!!! Not to mention the really reflective midsection before it returns to the main... I just love eet

Honestly, I couldn't pick just one. I have a top 3, and they are equally amazing in my eyes. Dilaudid, Slut, and W.H.T.S. W.H.T.K. mix that's on youtube as [no sleep til fun with knives] after it. I don't recall the actual name of the mix I know it by, but it's amazing.

Asphixia - This song never gets old for me, while most other songs depend on my mood.
Honorable mentions: Crawl, Caught, There is no God and Phucking Phreak. I love a lot more, but these songs always hit a sweet spot.

It´s nearly impossible to call only one song. That´s not fair But ok. As you wish. ASPHIXIA from TTG. Dense, dark, complex, atmospheric, really perfect.

Re: Favorite Vac song and why?
Hard to decide, but I'll have to go with Pretty Toy.
Such an intense and horrifying, yet driven song that hits a certain nerve whenever I'm listening to it. Maybe it's because the piano matches so well with the drumming that forms a complex beat, contributing perfectly to the evil, eerie feeling that the whole track holds. The lead is a complete contrast that yet elegantly blends into the rest of the track, the textures, samples, composition, it makes me weep in a strange kind of joy. On top of that, the vocals complete this beautiful masterpiece of psychopathy and vileness in the form of pure artistic horror. Absolutely a track you just want to sink away into and hope it won't end for a long time... until you've overlistened the thing so much that you're wondering where your repeat button went, because I'd be pretty sure you used it so many times that it's completely broken and chipped due to the overuse of it. That's how much I love this song.

Re: Favorite Vac song and why?
Let's Kill All These Motherfuckers!
Well first off because this song just goes all over the place lyrically, musically, and emotionally.
The lyrics are pure MISANTHROPY, touching issues like politics, religion, and petty human affairs. Overall I feel like this song preaches a philosophy that is much more profound than most. The last words always touch me deeply, "to be is..." It also sounds like it ends in a question mark, which ends up being a very deep question indeed.
Musically & emotionally it switches through being psychedelic, energetic, mystifying, soft, dark, beautiful, fast, slow, etc. This song takes you through the world in just about 5 minutes and shows you through most of the daily human horrors around the world.
This song is a MUST on acid. From the yells, birds chirping, heavy bass, and beautiful synth you are guaranteed to gain some sort of fresh insight every time.

Phucking Phreak was my favorite for many years but Crypulse (Still Crying) is my favorite now. I love everything about it, the music, lyrics and samples. What movies are the samples from in Crypulse?
