original hip-hop consisted of 3 things: Graffiti/art, break dancing/movement, and rapping/wordplay. the best you can hope for now a days is some rap with hip-hop styled flavor/influence because i sure don't see anyone practicing power moves/spins or tagging.

All but one thing. Hip Hop really has INSPIRED graffiti art but really has nothing to do with it entirely. Anyone is capable of doing it. I know Graf artists who literally despise hip hop music. Yah, I read too much. I don't know why I do that lol.

I'd add Djing/Beatmaking and Beatboxing to Hiphop too.
(Graffiti is a different case, agreed)

Artistically, the genre is on decline. It's pop now. But fortunately, some still bring the heat.

ahhh yes beat boxing is definitely up there, a lot of people couldn't afford decks or drum machines at all! it truly did start as something out of nothing but culture and passion. it really is too bad rap got overfed after midnight and grew into the retarded gremlin it is today.

yeah not trying to say people have to listen to or like hip-hop to be into graffiti, it was juts a big part of what their movement was back in the 80s and what not.

I'd imagine GWAR being awesome tagging music personally :o

I actually have to say from experience it's not bad haha.

I'm a pretty big fan of Aphex Twin while I'm puttin' a throw up.

Been listening to way too much dubstep lately though. Some of it's good depending on the artist. But it's pretty easy to find really cheesy stuff.
