suspiria 3

Pretty, Pretty, Pretty. Ok, my favorite horror film of all time is this one. Suspiria. It is cheesy yeah, but in a good way I think. The sets are so colorful, the use of colored lighting is what sets this horror film apart from the rest. And ov course, you have all those cool camera angel views that Dario Argento is famous for. Yes, this is from the 1970s and it shows. But the dvd from anchor bay is amazing, it looks phenomenal.

I love the music in this film, it is so unique and strange and different. Goblin did the sound track. The music creates a lot of the tension in this film. This is a cult classic for sure. Made in Italy, home of the best horror. Graphic, very, the kill scenes in this movie are very graphic and surreal. They do a great job of making it creepy. It takes place in a German Ballet school with mean instructors that are intimidating as well. NOT FOR KIDS.

Witches. I love witches. This is a great witch movie. If you like surreal horror with a witch theme, do not pass this up. This is a vintage film now, but don’t let that fool you, the best horror was made in the 70s and early 80s. Modern horror has no idea how to make something scary and interesting. Dario Argento is my favorite horror director. This is some of his best work, I also love some of his other films as well like Opera, and Tenebre. Suspiria doesn’t even look dated to me. Be sure you get the Uncensored version of this. The anchor bay version I have is uncut. With Argento films, it’s very important to get the uncut uncensored versions. So do some research. Movies: The Miracle Fighters, Kung-fu. Disease Factory’s Take.

To hell with Mr. miyagi. Do not think authentic kung-fu movies are like that american crap. In China they make them a lot differnt. More animated, more colorful, more action, much better acting. Well, I decided to review my favorite fictional supernatural martial arts film of all time. The Miracle Fighters. Directed by: Yuen Woo Ping. The same guy who did all the martial arts stuff for the matrix, this is something he did back in 1982. It’s old school, but man is this movie fun. Why do I recommend it? Because it’s trippy as hell. I mean this is one strange film, and for that, it gets my blessings. Subtitled only, sorry. I prefer the native tongue for the expressions in all foreign films and anime.

Yes, a magickal kung-fu movie. This movie is super cheese, but in that awesome way, you know in that 80s over the top in your face fun way. The special fx are neat for being old. The sets are great, the story is typical, but very interesting. The fight scenes are some of the best I have ever seen. The characters are fun like in that goofy anime kind of way. If any of you have seen the matrix and liked the fights in that, well thank the guy who made this film. This is his early work, and you can really see his true genius.

Movie: Shinobi: Heart Under Blade. Disease Factory’s Take.

November 20th, 2007 by Hexfix93

I love most chinese beat em up kung fu movies. But i also like some japanese stuff as well. This reminds me a lot of movies like crouching tiger hidden dragon. This had a decent budget behind it, the sets are well done, the costumes are good, and I liked the fighting sequences a lot. The special fx are pretty well done as well. There is no english dub for this film that i know of, so you will be stuck with subtitles. The story, two ancient factions of shinobi klans with a bloody past are forced to fight yet again. Etc, Etc. Don’t worry, i don’t like spoiling films. Some of the characters are pretty cool. Over all this is a pretty decent movie, slightly above average. I give it a 7 out of 10. I say rent it. Or buy it if you are collector of these types of movies. Click here to buy.
