We had the 2nd largest crowd at Agra! VNV beat us! Fine. Still no shows for 13 years and I come to see thousands and thousands of people. I am breathless. My heart beats hard for Germany and Europe now. The USA tour was good too. But Europe I think “GETS” “VAC” and has from the beginning. I think we could of been the Headliner of one of the nights. Still no one knew, it was a surprise and even the venue promoters noticed that the reaction was GREAT!!! This was the most fun I have had of any of the shows I have done up to this date. Great band mates. Great Crowd. I got paid well for the first time ever in “Europe” No thanks to a certain someone I will not name. So this was like on another planet for me. Yes its sad that my hair is all but gone, and I was a little fat this year due to having no car and being stuck at home and not hitting the gym like I used to. I still did ok. I can do better than that I think though and I apologize.

I got in to Leipzig on Thursday and walked around the city for two days. Big mistake. I should of taken a cab or the mass transportation system more. My legs got really sore because I was too out of shape for all the walking. When I got on stage at WGT my legs were cramping up on stage. Not only that all the stores were closed so we could not buy enough water and I was dehydrated as well. On the stage they only brought out two tiny water bottles (I had to go back stage to get more). I usually leave during the instrumental songs any how because I don’t have anything to play. I’m not going to jazzersize on stage either for a whole song. Plus we had some tech problems and were missing some cables that cost you fans 15 minutes worth of music :( so sorry we had to cut 3 tracks. They wanted to let us go over, and in hind sight I should of taken it, but at the time I did not want to piss off Suicide Commando and Leather Strip or Iamx. I got to met all the bands on the bill and it was so good to see Johan Von Roy again, I toured with him ages ago, the first VAC tour was with suicide commando and it was an honor to share the bill with him again. Clause Larsen was a class act as well, very friendly and man did he kick ass on stage. Then there was Iamx, I was not really into them so much, after watching the show they have won me over as a FAN for sure. I would love to do a remix for them or any of the bands on this bill in the future.

The Twilight Garden show was good too, we got a decent turn out and man i love playing keys in this melancholy band. Lots of cheering. I really like the response Twilight Garden has been getting on these live shows, west coast and now in Europe. I think Todd’s band is going to grow and be successful! I would love it because I like playing in it with Todd and the Drummer Chris Kutz who was also in my band this time. Kicked ass! In fact after all these shows I want to work with both of these guys on all kinds of stuff as much as I can. Chris Kutz also makes custom mogaimi high end cables and is the best around. Please order any cables that you would buy any where else through him.

We met and I signed autographs for the guy who wore a VAC shirt on German National TV. I give this guy MAD props for the promotion! Thank you so much!!!! He told us the story about the show and it was very interesting. So cool. I could of begged him for money though seeing how poor I have been the past few years. (kidding) Now doing shows like this I hope i can get my finances in order again. I just need to play more shows and keep putting out good music.

Leipzig was amazing. Driving into the city I was afraid because I saw all of the graffiti everywhere and I did not remember this from long ago. Still by the hotel we stayed out (penta) There were all these buildings run down with broken glass and graffiti as well. Then we walked into the city and saw the building above. I think this is the university and man the architecture impresses me so much. I even loved the train station as well. The people in Leipzig are great, not as cold and serious as western Germany. Cab drivers were great. Everyone at the hotel was great. People in the streets were cool as well. I loved seeing all the strange Gothic people, and love how this scene looks! So much fun, its a shame nothing like this exists in the states. If you have never gone to Leipzig, you are missing out, I might even try to pay to come even if I am not on the Bill I liked it that much.

We got some great India food. It was the only vegan food I could find in Germany besides one other asian place. Indian is my favorite so I did not care. Lots of alu mattar and chanamasala Super hot too!! Loved it. GERMANY HAS A VERY SERIOUS PROBLEM THOUGH:

NO KALE!!!!!! YIKES!!! I NEED THIS SO BAD FOR DETOX ON TOURS! DAMN YOU EUROPE!!!

GIVE ME KALE OR DIE! MOTHER FUCKERS!!!! KALE KALE KALE KALE. I LIVED ON IT ON THE WEST COAST HARD CORE!!! MORE KALE!!!!

Any how, I am home now, so far not sick and happy about that. I took olive leaf extract the entire time in Germany. I think this helps for the plane ride as well to prevent getting ILL. I loved Europe so much this time that I plan to play another big fest next year if I can. Maybe mera Luna and also tour All of Europe. Dates in every big territory. Still Now I am planning the october east coast tour that will finish all tour support for the LP “MALDIRE”. Hope to have mauvais in early 2014. Then a European tour.

I also plan on reviewing some of the shows I saw at WGT over on the EDT blog. Look for that stuff soon.

Lots of news. So my voice was still messed up until about a week ago, so yes I think I can pull off live vocals at WGT, too bad I could not finish Mauvais. Will do that when we get back, But the Good news is this, I have started writing the LP after Mauvais as well, its about 1/4 done, music only that is. It is more upbeat and psycho evil. Mauvais is more epic atmospheric down beat.

We are rehearsing again for the shows and even though I could not do vocals, I busted my ass on remixes since the west coast tour. I have remixed a track for Asylum Black, and did two remixes for The Twilight Garden, one radio pop edit, the other like club trip hop glitch. I think we will be playing the club trip hop mix as the last song on the VAC set(Todd sings on that). To help promote the Twilight Garden Show on Monday at WGT. I think these are the best remixes I have done besides the original “HAND” mixes Gary and I did back in the day.

Also, Gary Slaughter has finally given me some of the master ADAT tapes from the really old VAC stuff, Church of Acid era. I will be able to play more songs Live from this Era, and I was thinking about putting out a Velvet Acid Christ Best of with Remastered and Remixed Tracks. Now I can include the entire era of VAC’s back Catalog. The good news is that Gary has shown interest in working with me again, wants to try doing a song and see what happens. This could be very interesting. I have heard his new clips and am impressed. Click Here To listen to Gary’s Music. So who knows what will happen. All I know is that I want to make a ton of music now. I am a music vampire. I need music blood. I must make it all the time, any way, any where with other people who are active and got their shit together :)

I hope also to work with Todd on The next Twilight Garden Record in some small role. Playing in his band live has really made me appreciate is quirky arps and strange string arrangements, they are challenging to play and remind me of the pink dots, my favorite band in the universe. I know some VAC fans may not be fond of Todd’s style, I don’t care because the love of my life is melodic toy box melancholy music, i do very little of that in vac usually because I am so pissed off all the time. LOL .. Still, Todd has been a valuable friend on these tours, i could not of done it with out him. I also want to work with Chris Kutz if he has any time to spare in the future, and maybe work with Siren Project as well. I want to bust ass on music and do as much of it as I can. I want to stay way more busy now. Produce way more now. I am riding the dying wave of the music industry to the hilt.

Wish me luck!

Bryan

I am working on mauvais, I was hoping to have it complete but my voice has been out from a flu since i got home from the tour, for a month now. Todd got an ear infection that messed him up for a month, steve too. Chris was sick as well, tour illness sucks you get hit with like 10 diseases at once and it kicks your ass. So glad the west coast ended when it did because there is no way in hell we could of played sick like this. This pisses me off so fucking bad too because I wanted Mauvais out this year and now that is not going to happen. I fear even being able to sing at WGT at this rate, I hope I get better before then.

Speaking of Wave Gotik Treffen, Looks like we have that booked, it is a one off. I tried to put together a tour in Europe during this time, but man, no one would answer me back, and the people who did low balled me so bad that it was not worth it. Even people in the usa did not low ball me as bad as Europe did were the scene is supposedly bigger. If you know anyone to talk to in Europe please leave comments on this post. . You cannot use booking agencies or people like Stefan Herwig because you will not see a cent if you do it that way. You have to book all shows your self when you are independent like I am. We draw enough just to make money for us, no extra money to pay tour managers or booking agents, that is how small it is. Not only that i made next to nothing every time i played Europe before, not going to happen again. I am cutting out the middle men, because I have now booked a tour and let me tell you it is not that hard, and its fun, you get to meet cool promoters. Way better than hiring a booking agent. Europe has way more red tape though, lots of more paper work than the usa. I want to book a tour in Europe in 2014 for Mauvais, But this year we can only do WGT. It is the only thing that will pay.

I am in the process of booking the east coast. Looks like Chicago, Columbus, Toronto, Montreal, NYC, DC, Atlanta, St Louis. No Florida, far to drive and a dead scene. WE cannot afford to play night after night so we wont play a lot of cities in a row. My voice gets so fucked from singing VAC. I need rest days. When I go out again a year later, I will play Detroit instead of Chicago, Philly instead of DC, etc etc. The East coast shows will not be until October after the big festivals out east this summer. October because I will have live drums out east on half the set, and the drummer cannot get time off till then. I will be playing timeless visions out east, along with 1 song from Mauvais. Something the west coast did not get. We are changing up the set list a little, so if you think you saw it on youtube, guess again we will change the sets all the time. :)

I wrote a new song for Mauvais, with the new gear. The kronos, Virus TI2, and Mopho x4. WOW i love this setup. Mauvais used a lot more geat than Maldire. Maldire was mostly software with a few hardware tracks. Mauvais is more like 10% software, 90% hardware. Gear Used: Korg Micro x (textures galore), Korg Trinity plus with prophecy(leads and bass), Korg Kronos (drums and textures and pads), Virus A and TI2. I love hardware so much. It sounds so much more alive to me. Mauvais is atmospheric, huge, epic and dance friendly. I really wish I could get it out before the east coast tour, but i doubt it now. Probably early 2014. Sad.. I love it so much..

As you might of heard, my car took a shit. Needs a new engine I think. I am trying to sell some gear in the post below to help fund it. So far only sold the Virus A, and now the Ksp8 with adat. Now I just need to sell the rest… Please help if you can…

This lp is nothing like Maldire. Think slow, hypnotic grooves. Trippy psychedelic trip hop woven with a dark over tone. Female vocals from Sabine Snaps formerly of Psykkle. The First song Complete is Barbed Wired Garden Featuring Sabine on vox. Let me run down the rest of the tracks and their working titles. Grey, is a fantastic work of art influenced by haujobb’s older music and clubbed to death by robert dougan vox will be by me. So trippy. Taste the Sin will have vocals by Sabine and myself, this song is like delerium, old delerium before all the sell out shit. Slow, psychedelic and trippy and mean as fuck. The Last Good bye, reminds me of life in mono by mono. Super epic musical toy box trip hop. Dire plus a Dire Remix (two songs I cut from Maldire because they were too musical) Think pink dots if they made something more up beat. Dreams Turn Black, a song that should of been on fun with knives, up beat techno super musical. Death Disco, more up beat, like a up beat version of taste the sin. Zalflex( another song cut from maldire for being to juno reactor like). Empusa (another song cut from maldire, there were to many slow songs on an lp I wanted to be more up beat and aggressive). I plan on writing one more. as well.

I will take mauvais into new vocal directions for myself, and the fact that I am working with Sabine now. I can only hope that she will go on tour with me next year and do vocals for the songs on this LP, and slut and dilaudid. I know that slut is the most popular VAC song ever made, just by the youtube views. So in a sense you could say that Mauvais is me realizing this and going back to that place and seeing if I can produce more stuff like Slut. Guess what….. I CAN, Did, and have. This is what Mauvais IS. A Continuation of Slut, Dilaudid, Ghost in the Circuit. I had to get it out of my system again. I wish I had worked with more female vocalists over the years because I can make really pretty songs that work so well with those tones. A lot of the instrumentals I have done over the years could of been made much better if Sabine would of sang to it..

Sabine is a character. I really loved the psykkle LP rock bottom paradise. And Man listen to this song:

This is why I wanted her to do vocals in velvet acid christ. I love her passion and her dark words. She is strange, does not sound typical. Very Unique and strange. I love her anime like voice. Lots of inflections and details in how she sings. I hope to get her to do one more track on mauvais. The new VAC does not sound like psykkle. It sounds like VAC. Any how. I will post some preview clips in the future when I make more progress on the other songs. If I could of kicked this flu faster I would of been half done by now but 3 weeks to get over all the west coast germs that fucked me in the ass. God fucking damn it!

I really think this could be the LP that gets us in movies. In gaming sound tracks. I feel like I really made something really neat that a lot of people might like. And no I did not sell out one bit. It is still dark. I just think this might have way more appeal. I am really excited. The tours were great, i have WGT in germany then east coast. I hope to get mauvais done before the east coast tour. Maybe get it out this fall, if not, then early next year. No matter how it happens I just hope that it gets more attention than my last 4 records. wish me luck.

In the Kmfdm video below I talk about how all my idols have let me down. Well, maybe I am being too harsh. But I did not like the last 3 lps. Great Right of the bong was MEH at best. I only liked 3 songs on the lp. Same with mythmaker and hand over. Only like 2 or 3 songs on each that were really good. As opposed to say vivisect 6, too dark park, rabies where i loved almost every single song. Ohgr singing with a pinched nose tone, almost like a child going “NA NAH NAA NAH NAAA”. Gone was the troll/ogre who growled, hissed, cried and moaned and screamed. The passion was not in the vocals anymore. This is what killed my love for puppy over the last few lps.

So I finally was able to listen to the first 4 tracks of “WEAPON” when I was in san fran on tour. I was blown away. It had the simplicity of remission, with the welt and new puppy sound. and guess what. OGRE SOUNDS LIKE OGRE AGAIN. Growly, pouty, angry, mean OGRE. No more pinched nose child like vocal taunting. It sounds like the old ogre. Also Heard a remake of Solvent, and I really liked it. WOW.

Weapon should win back all the fans, and I know there are a ton of them like me who has been on the fence sings the greater right of the wrong. I am buying this release DAY ONE! I can get it for free on promos, but I will not, I will pay puppy to show them, keep doing this! I like how much more passionate ogre’s vocals sound now. So keep your eyes open. May 28th, go buy this. or you can pre order it now by clicking here.

New Puppy Rocks! They are back!

Whoa. I am sick as a dog still. Yikes. It happens after every tour I have ever done…. Enough of that though, starting to feel better now. The west coast tour. Where to start. WOW. Beyond all my expectations. We sold a ton of merch. We got great weekend turn outs and even sold tons of merch at the smaller shows. So this was a huge financial success for me and the promoters. I want to thank all the promoters for working with me and doing a great job. this tour of of been shit with out those great promoters. Dave in denver (you rock, don’t ever quit, you rule)John in austin (so fun to talk to got a great turn out down there, lights were great), James in AZ(great fetish guy), Bryan In san diego (hope your feeling better, thanks for doing a great job), John in LA (the lights ruled, the crowd was huge, and you were great to work with thank you so much), David in San Fran (sorry for my babble on stage at the show, sorry i didn’t get a sound check and it was not your fault, forgive me, still great turn out and promotion and i thank you), Mike and his friends in Portland and Seattle (thanks for doing a great job and being so fun to chat with). Alan in salt lake (love your club so much and hope it picks up, so much character).

We had lots of sound issues. Going to talk about them, USB 3 sucks. Nothing works right with it. Even then windows 7 64 sucks kinda for drivers. Always turn off windows update on the road, cause when it comes on on a reboot on stage HOLY SHIT. If you use omnisphere, make sure you turn disk streaming off. Because this causes our systems to crash on stage several times till we figured it out. OUCH. Wont matter, cause on east coast we will not be using laptops on stage again. EVER. We played stuff live with them, and man it was a head ache. Never again. I had no idea this tour would be successful so I did stuff on the cheap. PCs are on the cheap. its not worth it. I had a korg kronos I should of brought. Yikes we got it worked out in the end, but we had phazing issues as well and screwed up our audio at times too, A nightmare.

The Good thing is that we won 80 to 95% of the crowd every night, they stayed to the end, bought tons of merch, and cheered very loud for VAC. Twilight Garden got a lot of love from the crowds as well. Both bands did well. It was hard to play on stage for 2 and a half hours though in two bands. Kinda brutal for both Todd and I. Still we pulled it off ok.

^ Ran into a few fans with these shirts. LOL my quote. She said “I guess you were right, no one knew how famous you were, there are a lot of people here cheering” I laughed my fucking ass off, in fact I plan on buying this shirt and wearing it on stage in the future. Its taken out of context. I explained to her what i meant and she got it. Dumb Canadian promoter blabs about how much i asked for, makes fun of me, tells me i can only draw 100 or less, and i responded with you have no idea how famous I really am. He doesn’t. Because We just had a kick ass tour. tons of the older people came out of the wood work. Just because these local promoters and djs have shit nights and no one dances to vac anymore, well it didn’t stop my hard core fans who don’t club showing up at my shows and buying shirts. I hate to sound arrogant, because we are not covenant, or VNV. But, we are not small either. We draw about half of what they do. Still its enough to make promoters money, and so I can pay my band, and not go in the hole. BTW: I know how big each markets are in each of the towns. I do not ask for too much money in smaller towns, but in the big cities, yeah i ask for money. They help me play the smaller cities that pay less. Its how i get socialism for small town scenes.

I missed my GF and my family a lot on tour. I also did something I thought I would never do. It happened on accident. Normally I’m pretty shy, but in my old age, i’m more blabby than ever. When we change songs we play a lot of different sounds and we have to change a lot of setting on the lap tops in renoise etc. We also have to change fx on guitars and ready it all. And while this is happening time ticks away. So I just started talking and blabbing. It work well most of the time. In San fran I kinda ran my mouth a bit to much, go figure it was streamed on the net. LOL But most nights i could get the crowd to laugh and respond and talk to me and interact with me. It was a lot of fun. In san fran, yeah Dave owner of metropolis records and David Din and tyler all laughed at me and sais “NOW YOUR LIKE RONAN”. I was like, WTF? Really this is what he does? They were like “YES” I was like wow i never sat through one of their shows, so I guess I missed it. Yikes. I don’t hate Ronan. I picked on him all these years cause he could take it. Controversy makes people pay attention. People need to learn this. It sucks but everyone loves to gawk at the car accidents. Honestly I really do look up to those guys and yeah Im also a tiny bit jealous of their success. I get him now. He is a very personable guy, and he cares about his fans. If I am like that now, YAY me, because I really care about my fans.

I should of called this tour the “HAIRCLUB FOR MEN TOUR” Because we are all going bald LOL. In austin I met with this cool guy from the opening band, his name was creep, he did my make up in austin and it was kind of like a crazier icp thing i was lok LOL why not it beats no makeup. I wanted to have fun with it. and yea I really liked it. Then Every show after I let my sound guy and drummer in twilight garden who is an artist do my make up. Nothing like two dudes doing make up. LOL He did this joker thing an I loved it cause I really loved heath ledger in his last role. Plus with my blabbing on stage it worked because I told jokes an acted kind of like a joker. Oh well. I was scared. I was kind of out of shape, not raw. Still I pulled it off ok, I hope to get slimmer for the east coast and really get into shape. I spent a lot of time before this tour learning todd’s music. it was all i focused on the months leading up to the tour, that and remaking those old songs. I kinda of ran out of time for the gym and make up. LOL

any how, with the west coast being so successful, I really think the East coast is going to kick ass, we got most of the technical stuff on stage worked out. We are rehearsed better as well. I have a lot of east coast shows lined up I just have to pull the trigger with the promoters. I have a lot of tough choices. I will only do 10 or 11 shows out east. I will not play tons of shows night after night, i need days off or i lose my voice. So i will be cutting a lot of dates out. I promise I will hit the cities I cut this time, the next time I tour. Any how. I am going to start working on booking the east coast now. I will give updates on this in the future.

To all of you who showed up: THANK YOU SO MUCH, WE COULD NOT DO THIS WITH OUT YOU. I HOPE TO IMPROVE AND COM BACK STRONGER!! THANK YOU.

Our crew was great, Merch guy was great, DAVE WE OWE U. Todd was great, steve was good, Kutz was my rock and we all busted our asses with no roadies moving tons of shit. Hope to do it again and with any luck we will. See you out east.

Gah, bad hair day. it snowed on my hair, and the back stage did not have a shower so i could not fix the poofy short mess it became. Any how. It was great. We made decent money, more than I imagined, decent turn out, 318. This cow town delivered!!!!! I am so proud of our shattered local scene. I mean all these great djs, local bands, and a alot of old friends where there. Like I expect for this tour, there will be a few newbs, but our advertising on facebook has reached out to the 30 to 40 year olds of yester year who liked VAC back in the day. It was so cool. I was blown away by the crowd. I was kind of out of shape even though I have been working out. My work outs did not prepare me for the 2 and a half hours I would spend on stage. Still we pulled it off, with a couple of hiccups. We are refining the sound more and more for VAC and TTG. For a first show I was so happy with how everything turned out. So glad we remade some of the old songs, it really got the crowd going. The Local opening act was really good as well. They blew me away and had a tight refined sound. Check their fb out click. They were really nice and respectful, and i tried hard to help them when I could. Go Buy their cds and support vendetta and Dead Hand Project!

The Westword people were there and doing a great job, they even threw up a review..
http://blogs.westword.com/backbeat/2013/02/review_velvet_acid_christ_denver_casselmans.php?page=1

They also did a really cool interview with us here: http://blogs.westword.com/backbeat/2013/02/interview_bryan_erickson_velvet_acid_christ.php.

We had backing video thanks to good ol Dustin F. and I think this added a lot to the experience. Ara came in at the last moment and did merch for us and man did we sell a lot of shirts and cds. So impressed with the results. Those who said we asked too much out east, FYI we made more than we asked for in Canada. I cannot imagine my draw being less in Canada. I sold so many cds up there according to our sales figures. I think we will do well there as well. I am not taking anything away from Colorado though. The scene here has been consistent ever since I was going out in it. Since the 80s basically. We had teletunes and that was a big influence on me here, seeing all the cool goth and industrial videos of the 80s and early 90s was priceless, on pbs!!! I am famous because of Colorado. Because the scene here inspired me, the people here as well. I love this town and I am so happy we played it first. Any how some shout outs. Dave Vendetta, Thank you so much for great promotion and your street team was awesome. Eric and Kim Kosnar(darker days yet again!)Click , Slave One (thank you so much for promoting), (The Siren Project click. Check them out, really good local band. Synapse (mark, patrick u guys rock, Hugs for coming out, peace). And To Amy, DJ Raid, Dethrock love, Matt, All of you who showed up, Thank all of you so much. We could not do this with out our fans. Also, 2 guys from Tennessee flew out, Days in exile, thank you so much, and to all others who drove or flew out.

To think, I thought VAC was dead in Denver. LOL wrong….. Vendetta proved me wrong. There are still plenty of things for VAC to do when they are dead in Denver.

PS: Also old band mate Gary Slaughter was in the crowd, and we talked a bit afterwards and it was so nice man. I miss that guy so much some times. He was the King of Toxic Coma. And check out his local band The Vergers.. Indy rock stuff.

Bryan

The post below this has all the tour dates for the west coast. Yes I am booking the east coast for this summer now. What has been happening now is a lot of work, getting the transportation ready. I learned to play synth parts on 12 Twilight Garden Tracks. This is the first time ever I am playing live synths in a band on stage, its fun, and I really enjoy it. Todd’s voice is strong, and Chris Kutz The drummer is powerful sounding, and his drumming brings Twilight Garden to life.

The Vac set is bigger, 21 songs we are bringing, we wont play all of them every night. We are bringing enough to change the set from city to city. I am working out vocal FX. I will be doing vox without monitors :) Todd is playing guitars and a lot of synth lines. We have enhanced many songs on the set list and remade some old songs. We are playing songs from every VAC LP. We will have live keys, and lots of strange stuff, hope to have backing video. I am still figuring out how to cut my hair and do my makeup. I will not look like i did in the past. Still we hope to put on a very good energetic show. This will not be the standard EBM thing you see. YES we are bringing laptops. I managed to get low latency with the traktor dj usb DACs. We are using sylenth 1, kontakt, renoise, omnisphere, minimonsta, jup 8 v, Tyrel nexus 6 and a korg micro X for the live instruments and its working great. I could of brought some high end analogs and workstations, but with my budget being so low if something were to break, i could not replace a $2000 synth on the road. But a PC for 500 bucks, fine, easy to move around and cheap to replace and get up and running again fast on the road if something goes wrong. When I make more money, I think I will be able to afford a couple of korg kromes, a king korg, and the new moog sub phatty. This is what I hope to bring out east if I have the funds. Do not be alarmed when you see the pcs, we are using them as instruments because RENOISE KICKS SO MUCH FUCKING ASS AS A SAMPLER AND VST PLAY BACK SYSTEM!!

BTW. Todd can play all my fast 16th note progressions. Like you hear in futile, bend the sky, christ whore, etc. So be prepared. This is why I had to tour with Todd, His classical Piano training and degree in music is like gold when it comes to live shows. WOW.

We have been practicing on a PA, I bought a new mackie VLZ3 and wow we are impressed with it, sounds great. Vac Set and TTG set sound great. I also brought over my new Mauvais lp tracks to check them out on a PA. HOLY SHIT. The next vac has slower tempo songs with high energy, its like trip hop meets VAC and Haujobb. The BASS IS HUGE, and the songs are super melodic and glitchy. Got Femme Vox on two tracks from Sabine. Will finish vocals for this when we get back from West Coast Tour. Hope to have it out this september. Next VAC = OMFG HUGE BASS. So Stoked. Spacey and atmospheric trip hop VAC style.

We have a Tour shirt, VAC HOODIES, BABY Ts, and MALDIRE SHIRTS! We have a big poster, and stickers also. This is our life blood, so please buy this stuff. There is not a lot of VAC merch out there, and I have not toured for 13 years. Thank you.

Still all in all, remember that we are playing stuff live! We will put on a show. I promise not to be the typical EBM karaoke band!!!

See you at the shows, and please tell your friends!!!

I will add ticket links for Utah, Portland and Seattle as soon as I get them from the promoters.. EAST COAST DATES TBA. GERMANY WGT is for sure. EUROPE DATES TBA. I am working on getting vac shows in june, july and may. I hope to hit the east coast, and i hope to play a few dates in europe when i go out for WGT. To clear up some stuff. The Twilight Garden is Tood Loomis aka Elegia’s band. I worked with Todd on Lust for Blood and the art of breaking apart and some covers and remixes. He has been in VAC before. We are close. He is playing guitar and keys in Velvet Acid Christ with Steve aka Fro and I. I am playing keyboards and bass in The Twilight Garden on this tour with Todd and Chris Kutz.

Maldire is out there, and we still plan on making 2 more videos for it to keep interest in the lp for a little while longer. Seems like you only get promotion from the label for 2 weeks when the lp comes out, then pffffftttt it vanishes into nothingness, My tours wont be until feb, and then august. So Mauvais will come out in the fall of 2013. Music promotion is so shitty today, I remember when Pretty Hate Machine from NIN came out, i saw tv commercials for it 4 years after it came out. There is some serious promotion that just does not happen in our scene anymore. Still I want to continue supporting maldire at least until mauvais is out then start with that one.

Velvet Acid Christ and The Twilight Garden will be playing the Wave-Gotik-Treffen In leipzig Germany. One show only, no tour in Europe.

I am also going to start booking the East coast part of the “Velvet Acid Christ: After the End of the World Tour”. Trying to book Nebraska, Minnesota, Chicago, Detroit, OH, ST. Loise maybe, Philly, Rodchester maybe, NYC, Toronto (Canada) DC, Boston maybe, Atlanta, 2 in Florida, and maybe New Orleans on the way home if it is worth our time.

In the mean time here are some confirmed West Coast dates:

01 Denver @ Casseleman’s feb 09
02 Austin @ Elysium feb 15th
03 Phoenix @ Martini Ranch feb 18
04 San Diego @ Brick by Brick feb 19
05 LA @ Complex Twilight Garden only feb 20
06 Las Angeles @ Das Bunker Velvet Acid Christ only feb 22
07 San Fran @ Dna Lounge feb 24
08 Portland Feb 27 hawthorn or Ash Street Saloon
09 Seattle @ The Highline march 1

Still finalizing contracts on these dates, but all seems good. Working on the west coast leg has been a lot of fun so far, I like all of the promoters I have dealt with in these cities. I hope to do a lot of promotion for the shows as well to help the promoters. I don’t want any of these dates to be a failure in turn out and merch sales so I want to do everything in my power to make sure people show up and like the merch enough to buy it. Still trying to find merch person for west coast and east coast US tours.

Some gear talk, This is my current set up:

Korg Kronos 61 with karo libs.
Korg Trinity Plus with prophecy board.
Korg Micro X (love this one most of the work stations)
Access Virus A.
Plugiator.
Roland Sh09 with Kenton midi to cv.
Emu E6400 Sampler.

Software:
Arturia Jup 8 v (love it)
Arturia Moog Modular
Sylenth 1
Diva (over rated)
Trance wave.
Kontakt 2
Waves Api 2500 and 560 (fav plugs hands down)
Korg MDE-x fx
Tyrell Nexus 6 ( love it more than diva)
Zeta +
Gladiator
Renoise best DAW ever
Cubase 5

What I want to sell, e6400, trinity plus, plugiator. What I want to buy, boomstar ARP model, mini brute, and virus TI2, and a DSI Tempest. I want a great line mixer too. No Idea what one. I want to upgrade to cubase 7. But still use renoise for most things. Glad I still have gear lust and lust to make music and do all this music stuff. I hope all these live shows, and studio lps work out. I love my fans, I love dark music and I hope it all comes together in a positive way for everyone involved.

The Twilight Garden LP “HOPE” is now available.
