What does the future hold for VAC. Well One offs I hope in 2014 I can play Edmonton, Vancouver, Toronto, Mexico City, France, The UK, Holland, Germany. The likely hood of a European tour is looking grim. I might be able to play one or two festivals, Then stay and fly to the UK, Fly to France, Fly to Holland. Trying to figure it out, Talking to Thorsten Stroht, Johan Von roy, and Others over there to get a good picture of the scene.
Festivals scare me because I hate playing during the daytime. This is what puts me off big time, at aggra hall at WGT the place was packed when we played. Not throwing my ego around, but i think we could of easily co headlined on some of these events and not played so early. I would rather play in front of 150 people in a club than play during broad day light to 10000. Money is not as good, but we are a club band, not a out door stage act.
Oh and our lights, man we cannot bring them all if we are flying and this will hurt us unless the clubs we play have good stage lighting with talented light people. Other wise its awful. we played a few dive bars out west and learned really fast how bad horrid lighting can make a show. Never again so no matter where we play i demand a decent light show.
Mauvais: We have a deadline of late January, so I am going to bust my ass to try and get it done, so you will have it in the summer and we can sell it in Europe while we play shows. This is the most epic LP I have ever made. I feel like it has a broader appeal than Maldire which was aimed at my hard core industrial fans. This time we target radio and the club scene with slower super melodic industrial dance trip hop tracks.
The studio has been changed again. Added (coming in the mail) Nord Lead 4(for the pitch bend, and wheel morph and mutator sounds on leads) and the tb and moog filters and the easy interface. It does mean aggressive sounds. Korg Kronos is the center piece along side a Korg Micro X, and Slim Phatty. Still want to add a tempest dsi drum machine and a mopho x4. Then I will be done. Also looking to buy a fireface ucx for the laptop on fly in gigs if we use one, and i have a feeling we might have to. Because airlines wont let us ship big keyboards and trusting people with my gear ahead of time is too scary.
Dont think my ebay auctions will win me shit for money kinda sucks.
