Back home again.
The south was um, interesting. We got to go to the moog factory, I got to hang out with old friends, Krztov and William down in Louisianan. The crowds were great. I know i don’t win everyone at every show. I try. One thing I will address is people think I am texting and using my cell phone on stage. People, I use my iPhone to get set list information, and lyrics to remind me on some of the old songs. THAT’S ALL, some times i take pictures of the crowd. :) I’m pretty into the shows we do and I try my hardest, The lights took 3 months to sync to the music and create, we spent more time on that than rehearsing. It was a hard choice but i thought our show needed better visuals. I refused to just play the same set I played in the west. I brought 22 songs, and we had to rehearse and learn them all.
Sometimes I do blather on a bit, and I’m sorry about that, I am trying to learn all this stuff, I have not toured or played shows since 2000. I am a completely different person now. I am sad when I piss my fans off though. I don’t mean to.
Nashville: I loved the city. The crowd was really fun and funny, telling jokes to me and laughing along with my silly jokes. John the promoter was really cool. Also this really neato vegan fan who runs a restaurant in Nashville made us cookies, wraps, and all kinds of neato stuff, i plan on promoting it more soon. The opening band Deconbrio followed us to Charlotte as well. Very cool people, cool band.
Charlotte: We had cool vegan wraps a block away from the venue. We had to use mega fog cause the building was so huge. The crowd was great. The hard core fans showed up. Sound guy was amazing at this place. Made everything sound amazing for all of us.
West Palm Beach: The back stage was up this weird rickety metal stairway up the back. I don’t mean to complain, but we did not have a “real” sound guy for this show, he left after twilight garden and the promoter did the sound for VAC. Had all kinds of issues. Still the crowd was really fun. I loved playing with Cyanide Regime.
Tampa: Show was going great until bam we had a 10:30pm curfew, the venue was double booked. I feel so bad to the fans there. we only got to play 9 songs. I feel like and ass, and some fans really let me have it at the after party. Wow. I really want to come back to Tampa and do a show for like 5 bucks at the door and play more stuff for an hour and half and keep my mouth shut. I am so sorry about this Tampa. I know a lot of you loved the show and showed me a lot of love afterwards. Still it was too little and you guys spent so much. So I will try hard to fix this for you. I apologize.
New Orleans: Traffic sucked so bad yikes. I love this city. The crowd was a lot of fun, and I stayed around the area for 4 days to rest and hang out with lunggravy my ps3 gaming buddy. the other one.. I went shooting, yes i shot a gun. We played the ps4, and this made me so stoked to get home and play the thing. I went to some voodoo stores. WOW So much culture in that city. So glad I played down there.
Austin: You always make me happy. The heart and true soul of Texas is amazing. What a great music town. The worlds best promoter ever john. Elysium is a bar with a lot of character, but man they need to fix the mens bathroom yikes….. Asylum black was great to hang out with and talk to. They put on a great show and man fake blood LOL. The sound guy at this place was amazing too. I will always come to austin.
OKC: The last show. I was so run down. The crowd was good, but they were mostly sitting and not to the front of the stage. I apologize for getting depressed on stage and venting. Still I had a lot of fun, and the promoters were great. I loved working with everyone. One bad thing about the city is, when we went to our hotel, there was a sign saying that cars had been broken into a lot at night, so we refused to stay, and we drove on little naps all the way from okc after the show to Denver.. still recovering..
I loved going to the south. I loved the moog factory. So much so I bought a Sub Phatty that I plan on reviewing when i get it.. We got a personal tour, and got to go through the factory and to the special sound room only musicians get to go. So cool. I can’t wait to get the synth..
The crew: Krztov came along and played keys for us, did a bang up job, and got good at helping stage setup. Dave the “Merch guy” Worked his ass off. Loved everyone in the crew and I thank all of you for working so hard..
