Wow the things we learned in hindsight. AT WGT we forgot our balanced xlr cables, and when we plugged back into our dis, we had to use 1/4 in unbalanced and we forgot to switch the 15 db pad on the dis, so what Germans herd was a over driven sound, with a lot of the high freqs cut out, the mid range smeared, and the low end not as bassy. MAN. not as bad as what happened on the west coast where stage hands bumped the phase switch on our DIs and canceled the middle freqs in the mix out completely. See this is what happens when you don’t hire great sound people to double check everything in sound check, in San fran we did not even get to sound check so that was another huge issue. More than anything it was our fault because we should of double checked.. Grr. I wear to many hats. Cant afford a tour manager… GRRR.
I want to play the west again, and WGT to make up for our fuck ups. I feel horrid. The good news is that we are on top of everything now, we will not have the issues we had out west for the upcoming east tours. I have taken a live show crash course as has todd, sorry we had our errors out west and in Germany. I feel so stupid.
Still we have a great setup for the east. Kronoses. Killer lights. We are playing some new songs. I will give away a couple. Timeless Visions, Septik Rinse and a few more that we did not play out west. The VAC set is really upbeat and high energy, with perfect chill songs mixed in. The Twilight Garden set will have the VAC reconcile remix and the Remix of Fire that you can get on the new single coming out on metropolis. Its epic. I love playing in Twilight Garden. Songs have 8 chord progressions. So technical. Complex. I’m a big fan.
I wish I could afford to bring more people, but man the scene is so small now and budgets so low, I dug into personal money to pay for our light show. No complaints tho, because I am an entertainer, and man I want to put on a great show for every person who comes out, if i make more money I will keep investing in our show and make it better and better for the next time that I come out and tour again. Who knows though, these two legs might be the last time, who knows what fate holds.
We will have a couple of Do over dates. Denver and Austin and we will have special LTD shirts for those two gigs. The merch looks killer again. So happy about it. I am so happy with all of the Promoters who booked shows with us. Everyone has been so nice and cool and very reasonable. Looks like we have most everything together on our end and we leave in a little over a week to play Chicago. All I can say is, I love you fans, and thank you so much to you and the promoters for letting us tour and cheering us on. Thank you all.
