Bye, Bye to my best friend.
I loved you so much. I will miss you every day of my life.
Zyden, rest in peace, you were the best dog in the world.
2005 – 2010.
To young to die. I wish i could of moved long ago, these neighbors are bastards. He was given decon or something maybe, he acted and bled out like it. But, maybe he had a genetic disorder too the doctors told me. I cannot believe he could go from fine to horrid in 3 days. The transfusion and vit k shots didn’t work, he started bleeding out last night. Nothing could be done, he was pissing blood and shitting blood. I don’t feel like doing anything. I miss him so much. I planned on running with him this summer like we used to when I was raw. He was my walk running buddie. I really miss him. He was so cute. He made me happy.
My heart is crushed. I’m devastated.

sorry to hear about your loss. It’s fucked up to say, but sometimes our pets are more important and vital to our mental wellbeing then family and friends.
maybe when you get done with mourning we’ll set up a donation thing to get you a new dog. (not that you can replace zyden)

That’s terrible to hear, and absolutely rotten of your neighbors. I’ve been through a similar situation myself and understand it’s not an easy thing to deal with. Hang in there, man.

I know how it goes. Neighbors totally kidnapped my cats a year ago. Funny thing is, they took them to the local vet’s house where the vet lets animals run around all the time in their yard and we found one cat brought it home, and the other one escaped and is now rogue.
We asked the vet about how our cats made their way to his house and he told us the whole story. Long story short, our neighbors were assholes, and did an asshole move. So fuck em.

:( Hugs Bryan… I only can feel sadness and I really hope that the law someday punish these kind of people for murder, like with human beings… because that’s what they did, no difference.

Deeply sorry for you loss, Brian.
Zyden was a handsome pup, and I truly hope your neighbors get the karma they deserve- And much worse. I know the feeling of losing your best friend, I lost my Skye back in ‘08.
Wishing you the best, and much comfort to you in this time.

none of it makes sense. while i try not to wish harm on another, i can only hope one day thay feel as you do so as to understand what they have inflicted upon another human being.
his spirit lingers…

My condolences..any way to prove the neighbors had a foul hand in on this? Toxicology tests from the vet or what not?

Hey Bryan,
He looked like a happy dog and looked as though he loved you very much!
It’s tough losing a pet, My German Sheperd was a rescue and I brought him back but his hips are going out and it breaks my heart :(
Hang in there buddy!

Really Sorry about your loss. It is real tough losing your best friend. When I was real young I lost three cats in a row to leukemia. What a twist of fate, one after the other too. It really screwed me up, made me very hateful for a long time. After a year or so later I got another cat and had the cat vaccinated for leukemia. He lived a much longer life but I was devastated when at thirteen years old he became very thin and sickly. I took him to the vet to find out what was wrong and get him medicine. He was given antibiotics but it was too late. After a few days his body began to shut down and he became what appeared to be crippled from the waste down. He would try to stand up and would have no control in his back legs, he let out a scream that I never heard anything make before. It was horrifying and the thought of it still makes me cringe. I did the only thing I could do for him. At 11:00 at night I took him to an emergency vet and had him put down. It was the hardest thing I ever had to do and I questioned my decision for a long time. I blamed myself thinking that I could have done more. This was two years ago and it was only about six months ago that I truly got over it. I wont be getting another animal anytime soon because when other people talk about their animals it gives me the opportunity to reflect on the good times I had with him. It takes a long time but it makes it easier to remember the good times rather than dwell on the tragedy of death. With deep regards and best wishes, hang in there bryan, Our thoughts are with you.

so sorry for him… bryan, we don’t know but i feel your pain so deeply in me. ’cause i loved dogs, and animals too, and everything not human.
so, when your dog die, is a mournful event, is your son die…

I’m so sorry… A few years back my douche bag neighbors gave my dog antifreeze, she was sick for weeks before the vets found she was poisoned and couldn’t be saved.

so sorry to hear about zyden…i miss at least one of my past animals a day it seems…hang in there bryan and please dont blame yourself…
this may or may not help, but the postrock band silver mt. zion released the album He Has Left Us Alone But Shafts of Light Sometimes Grace the Corners of Our Rooms (yes that is the album title). it was a tribute to the guitarist’s dog who had just passed away. give it a spin…
