VAC News: Talked to Dave over at metropolis a couple of days ago, told me the covenant shows on the west coast did well. He thinks a mini west coast tour in the spring is in order for VAC. He thinks it would do well. I am working on maybe trying to make this a reality. Wish us luck. I am already writing new material for the next lp, buying some new stuff, going to check out some new gear and review it and use it on the new LP. I will post that stuff here on the VAC site when I get to it.
The new LP is getting a great response from some. Way more positive than negative so far. I think a lot of new people will really be into this VAC record. I think this record will bring new fans. Some people are having a hard time with the acoustic guitars, mostly because they do not listen to the dots or death in june like I do so they have no idea that those are some of my biggest influences. All is good though. I hope people will pay for it, if they don’t I hope they donate money instead. I will put up a donate money button for all you pirates who feel guilty and don’t want to give to the stores or the labels :) LOL please, I need it, times are really tough.
Pirates, Please Donate to VAC.

I am now adding new articles weekly on the media blog, Reviews, and shining the spotlight on things I like. VAC writes all of these reviews and articles..

wow, great news.
i really would love to see a tour come about.
if there’s set dates early enough, maybe fans could help pass out fliers and get a “shout out” going.
p.s. – am really glad you use guitars in your music. it’s nice to hear something else other than synths and electronics.

Ah ha!!! So you are not done??? Can’t tell you how glad I am to hear it. Get new gear, enjoy it, and keep making music. “We” really do need you in the “scene”… please do not quit. I wish I could express how important alot of your songs/albums are to me. I am also a big fan of the same songs you are, drowning man absolutely OWNED me from 11-17, and then it went to a ship named despair, and sterre and the process and etc. and etc. and sex disease, slut, ghost in the machine… alot of stuff of yours. You cannot stop, we will not let you, I will haunt you if I die!!!!

My offer still stands.. I adore your music and I love this album I play it all the time. I would LOVE to get the word out about the album and anyone who has not heard VAC in general.

Thats what I thought when I heard some of the new lp. Its going to bring new fans for sure! Why do you say Pirates donate to VAC do you mean pirates as in people who steal music? I also am wondering if I did donate a lil cash where does that money go?
November 10th, 2009 at 9:12 pm
the money goes to feed me, put a roof over my head, and help my ailing mother.
no joke.
Piracy, well, yeah, anyone who steals my music because they don’t think the labels or the stores should get their money, but me the artist is the only one who should get paid, please donate, because I agree. No advertising goes for itunes, so i don’t need a label to sell my stuff online, i only need them for the stores and physical cds. So if that is your deal, pay me instead, i would appreciate it.
Oh and don’t forget ,i do the edt blog, its like a magazine, and i dont make a cent on it.

If that is the case then I will be a one woman street team. Seriously.. I would HATE to see VAC fail and I understand all of this costs money.. Do you have any promo posters or anything? I am going to email the owner of the club here (he is also a store owner/producer/jack of all trades)
I wish there was a way to talk to you directly. I am not a fan bot.. just someone who believes in your music and wants to help.
November 11th, 2009 at 10:56 am
That is not my deal, i’ve bought most of the songs on the new lp from itunes. And I plan on buying the whole cd sometime.
I will donate sometime when I have some extra cash to spare. =p

I think people who donate AND purchase the CD should get a personal thanks =D

Hello Bryan… “and why did you say that things shall fall? and fall and fall and fall apart…?” I listened to “The Art..” yesterday. To me, it was not a big surprise to see you that ‘ve blended acoustic guitars in your songs, after all you had experimented, if you don’t mind me calling it that, with more “acoustic” and mellow patterns in your songs from as early as Church of Acid and Neuralblastoma (I bought those back then from a record store in Camden Town, London – “Resurrection Records” when one’s fingers would turn black from dirt while digging through those shelves filled with vinyl records and used cd’s… those were the days). “Pain” and “Sadder Still” (I cannot hold those tears back sometimes when I listen to the latter) are unforgettable and made their mark back then pointing out what a sensitive person you really are underneath that hardened surface of synthetic layers.
I have *never* downloaded music off the internet, heck I do not even know how to do it! If I do not have the money to buy the stuff I will wait until I do! Good things come to those who wait and “The Art..” was well worth the wait. It’s what diversity is all about. After all, if I want something more harsh, I can always put on one of those early albums (which will always sound fresh, that is an accomplishment in its own right..). By the way, Bryan, a few years ago I made a trip to Italy… among the cities I visited was Sienna. While seeing the sites I was on my way to yet another Duomo. To my amazement the Duomo in Sienna turned out to be *the one on the Church Of Acid front cover*. I cannot begin to describe my feelings that very instant. deja vu is an understatement, I think. I thought I was about to fly all over that temple and go greet the critters in those tiny windows…!!
After listening to your small speech after “Silver” I can say that for the first time in my life I ‘ve met someone whom I can totally identify with in terms of the ideals towards music. I’d always felt like I’ve known you, through your songs over all these years (13 years!), it just became a realisation yesterday..
If you want you can e-mail me so we can talk more, I’d like that very much.
Watch out for those cat bites and scratches, their saliva is very toxic, they are predatory (and very proud) animals afterall…
“We Develop, We Delight
We Define and We Decay…”
We love you man, don’t Fall Apart.

Didn’t I greet everyone who donated? I thought i did on the cd credits.

You did..but I was being cheeky =)

I like this way of paying for a music! Anyway I don’t need a plastic box and CD. Mp3 downloaded from inet is enough for my car.)
