PODCAST 8 and 9, Killed In Space & Amnesia.

http://www.velvetacidchrist.com/VACPODCASTArtofBreakingApart89.mp3
Yes, we talk about the 8th and 9th tracks on the new LP “Killed in Space” and “Amnesia”. Plus other ranting stuff.
Update: I have been asked to maybe do a remix single for song Caustic Disco, not sure if I will or not. Most singles do not sell and they are a ton of work. I might if I can get away with putting a bside COVER on it. I was trying to think of a good cover to do. I was thinking “White Rabbit” or something really pop like and trippy that I could make all lsdish. What would you like me to cover? Chime in, Please leave a comment on what more mainstream song you would like to hear covered by VAC. If I can find a fun song to cover, I might do the caustic disco single, and get some cool bands to remix the song. I would like She Wants Revenge, Ladytron, or Covenant to remix that song for us. But It looks like maybe Kalte Farben(old vac friend), and maybe Mindless Faith might. I just want to make sure it is commercially viable. I’m sick of putting tons of work into Singles that never sell when I could be making a new lp, where I make the real money.
Hexfix93.
This song is on the up coming “The Art of Breaking Apart” LP that is coming out on OCT 27 2009. You can pre order by Clicking Here.

A Flock Of Seagulls – I Ran
There is a lot of room for you to really make this song spectacular, it even has a guitar solo!

Still an Oct. release, yeah? Can’t wait. White rabbit sounds like a great song to cover. I will never get around to it, but my fave song would be “strange days” by the doors, for a nice tripped-out lsd-industrial song. Really glad to hear you are still in contact with Ingo. He is super nice, and incredibly talented. And the Mindless Faith crew is also a great choice. They have really grown on me over the last few years. FUCK IT… all of you should make your OWN label, er something. Anyway, everything sounds good Bryan. Absolutely foaming at the mouth for your new record.
much love

every news station in the world could say the world will end in a week if people don’t stop eating meat.you know what would happen? we’d all be dead.sometimes people remind me of zombies.like how zombies are so mindless they just want to eat meat.
just like so many mindless people in the world who keep stuffing there face with carls jr.i think the whole meat thing would not be as much of an issue if people werent so gluttonous with there appetites.alot of times when i used to eat meat it was more to stave off my hunger than for the actual taste.
so if more people would not have such bad appetites they probably wouldn’t feel the need to eat some fat rotting cow flesh in a warm sesame seed bun.

i suggest Scratch, by Contagion. i think the VAC awesomeness would just make that song so much more tension-filled and textured… mmm.

White Rabbit all the way!
That would be so awesome!
That plus a Mindless Faith remix would make for one hell of a great single. Now if you could get Ladytron on there too…WOW!

Kate Bush – Running Up That Hill.
Realy challenging song to turn it into VAC.

Check out the song “wicked little doll” by David Byrne off of his solo cd “feelings”
it’s the trippiest song he ever did off his trippiest album. I always wanted to cover this myself, replacing the syths for heavier guitars this song would be a monster….

A cover? Nice :)
The Cure cover on the ‘Wound’ single was really nice.
Rommel from RiB did a Madonna cover once(”Erotic”, I think?). It wasn’t all that good, so you might want to be wary of girly-pop songs.
“I Ran” and most anything by Tears For Fears have been done to death, especially by nu-metal bands.
Something by the Talking Heads or the Dresden Dolls might sound sweet.
What about something minimal, like Byrne’s “psychokiller” performance from “Stop Making Sense”?
Or a minimal cover of something from the VAC catalog? an acoustic cover of “hallucinagene” or “pretty toy”?

nice, an instrumental sounds groovy.
things breaking apart is one of my fav nin albums. don’t forget sp has a song called amnesia ;)
i’m really interested in amnesia since it was at one point, going to be removed from the track list early in production.
