You can now buy the new much anticipated release “The Art of Breaking Apart” from Velvet Acid Christ. Click here for mp3’s. Click Here For Audio CD. This time Velvet Acid Christ refines their sound, bringing back a more polished guitar sound from the BTE2 aka FATE era of VAC Mixing that together with Fun With Knives and Twisted Though Generator. Click Here to Listen to “BLACK RAINBOWS”. Click Here to listen to “Caustic Disco”. Songs like “Black Rainbows, Killing a Stranger, The Art of Breaking Apart, Phucked up Phreak” really prove that VAC is able to make dark guitar tracks that can appeal to a broad audience even HIM and AFI fans. Also songs like “Caustic Disco, Tripped Out & Vaporized” Prove that VAC is still a force in the EBM Gothic Industrial Night Club Scene. If you like Juno Reactor, Astral Projection, HIM, AFI, Death In June, The Cure, Nitzer Ebb, Front 242, Wumpscut, Haujobb, Kmfdm, Skinny Puppy, Ministry, Meat Beat Manifesto, Mindless Faith, Covenant This new Velvet Acid Christ LP will appeal to you. The production and sound quality has evolved. The Vocals are more polished and present and this time there are more clean vocals than distorted vocals. The songs are simple, catchy and memorable. Heavy, Emotional, and Real. No Autotune vocal processing was used, no detuned trance leads. The music was played live in the studio and has a lot more soul this time around. This is what the scene needed, something diverse and out of the mold. BELOW: Desktop Wallpaper. Rick Click and save as to download or click on images below to view.

VAC NEWS: OCT 22nd 2009.

October 22nd, 2009 by Hexfix93

Okay, Ok. I am working on the Velvet Acid Christ E-card for the metropolis mailing list. I am also working on a web page that will be devoted to the new LP like the E-card. With one page and links to every podcast, a lp sampler mp3 file, one music video I have done, and information about what songs go best on radio and the club, kind of like a virtual one sheet for the net. I hope to get that done in the next couple of days. The LP comes out in a few days on OCT 27th. So Excited, the lp is a dream of what I wanted VAC to be like in the beginning. A rock act that is like the pink dots and the cure with more edge. Something accessible to people who like peter murphy and old 80s goth and new stuff like HIM and She Wants Revenge. Still that old fun with knives and TTG vibe is alive in the electronic songs with a more refined simple structure. I really like it.

Above is a new press photo i made :). I am working on more photos with todd. They will be more artistic and weird that most standard bland press photos. I have gotten 2 of the remixes back for the Caustic Disco single which I hope to have done in the next couple of weeks. Mindless Faith(this one is a club killer, so bad ass), and The Twilight Garden(todd’s band) remix which is really musical and extended. Like em both. Krztov and Kyle are working on theirs, and it sounds good so far as well. I have yet to hear the Kalte Farben mix. There will be 2 b-sides as well. Anyway, You can Click Here to listen to clips of the new LP. I also just interviewed SNOG – BLACK LUNG for Electric Deth Trip Media and Vampire Freaks Click here to read the Snog Interview. Thats all for now. Also this is funny:

PODCAST 10 and 11, Faithless and Silver.

October 15th, 2009 by Hexfix93

podcast
http://www.velvetacidchrist.com/VACPODCASTArtofBreakingApart10-11.mp3
Yes, we talk about the 10th and 11th tracks on the new LP “Faithless” and “Silver”. This is the last podcast in this series. We talk about those last songs on the lp and the LP as a whole. More production stuff as well. Hope you liked these podcasts. If you did enjoy them, please leave comments.

Update: Caustic Disco single is a reality. Yes, looks like 4 remixes, a b-side, and a cover. I won’t let out all the details. But so far, Krztov and Statikcat have a new project and they are doing a remix. Todd’s Solo act “The Twilight Garden” Is working on one. Mindless Faith, and Kalte Farben will be working on stuff as well. I have picked the b-side and the cover but I will not divulge that information as of yet. I also have two music videos done. More like youtube quality stuff, simple promotional stuff that you will see come out really soon. Jef Harris is working on a new video off the new LP as well. I really like the work he does. Check back next week for an update.

These songs are on the up coming “The Art of Breaking Apart” LP that is coming out on OCT 27 2009. You can pre order by Clicking Here.

Also be sure and check out Todd’s Solo project “The Twilight Garden” on Projekt Records. New LP “A world We Pretend” will be out early next year. The Twilight Garden mixes atmospheric strings with melodic melodies and fuses them with slow beats and lullaby like energy. Elegant powerful sounding vocals mixed with an old school european new wave and goth sound. Think The Legendary Pink Dots, The Cure, David Bowie and a pinch of NIN and Shoe Gaze mixed with a modern take on the more epic and atmospheric song writing of the 80s. Check out their myspace by Clicking Here, there you can listen to a montage of his lp, really cool. Also You can buy it now Click Here to buy it. Todd has been my best friend over the last 3 years. Helped me out a lot, and is the only person I really even hang out with anymore. Please support his band. Thanks.

MANKIND IS THE ANGEL OF DEATH. Social commentary.

October 8th, 2009 by Hexfix93

Welcome to planet TOILET. If you want to know where my hate of mankind has come from look no further. It is this, pollution, slob mentality, the evil of enslaving other humans, animals and nature at whim, showing no respect for the earth. The egoist blood lust for power, status and capital while shitting chemical run off, dumping, trash, plastic, prescription drugs, oils, gas, you name it in every corner of the earth. All hail the industrial revolution.

Most of you are completely oblivious to the pure amount of chemicals that are being dumped and put into food, and in our lakes, rivers, and streams. Run off from live stock that are pumped full of drugs and chemicals.

I make CDs which are plastic, and deep down inside it tears at me, because of how much pollution I alone have caused by being a apart of this music industry. It pains me to know that I myself have been guilty of this crime even though I try to recycle and be green.

After learning about all this pollution, how the animals are eating it, and plastic is turning all mammals into sperm less wonders, soon animals will become extinct because of the estrogen mimicking properties of plastics.

Men on this planet have tits now. Yes, plastics are to blame, as are foods like bread and potatoes when cooked turn into glue and plastic. Even the plastic water bottles. Wonder why there is so much Attention deficit disorder, or autism in children? PLASTIC ANYONE?

After learning the extent of the pollution on our mother earth, I have officially given up on any kind of plausible future for mankind. The animals will disappear so will the plants. Welcome to MARS. It’s happening now. Congratulations industrialist capitalism, you have scourge the earth more than any other form of social order to ever precede it.

pollution

The super droughts in Australia will soon be coming to california. The above picture is what it looks like. If you don’t think this is real, think again, the media has been trying to hide this from you for a long time.

pollution2

When I got into industrial music long ago, this was the main theme from bands like skinny puppy(shoreline poison), and ministry(breathe you fucker) and Snog(the human germ). I was depressed then with what I knew of about pollution. Now, it is 10 times worse than then. No one is bitching about it or talking about it in our scene any more and it makes me sick to see how un political this scene has become. It’s all about goth sex and clothing and fetish bullshit. NO longer about veganism, saving the earth and rebelling against the industrial revolution like the old industrial music was. The world makes me sick. About as deep as it gets now days in our scene are bullshit ego philosophy wanna bes and it rhymes with birds and bees. A planted full of filthy fucking slobs who cannot even pick up the mess they make in nature. FUCK YOU MANKIND. YES, I INCLUDE MYSELF IN THIS.

PODCAST 8 and 9, Killed In Space & Amnesia.

October 7th, 2009 by Hexfix93

podcast
http://www.velvetacidchrist.com/VACPODCASTArtofBreakingApart89.mp3
Yes, we talk about the 8th and 9th tracks on the new LP “Killed in Space” and “Amnesia”. Plus other ranting stuff.

Update: I have been asked to maybe do a remix single for song Caustic Disco, not sure if I will or not. Most singles do not sell and they are a ton of work. I might if I can get away with putting a bside COVER on it. I was trying to think of a good cover to do. I was thinking “White Rabbit” or something really pop like and trippy that I could make all lsdish. What would you like me to cover? Chime in, Please leave a comment on what more mainstream song you would like to hear covered by VAC. If I can find a fun song to cover, I might do the caustic disco single, and get some cool bands to remix the song. I would like She Wants Revenge, Ladytron, or Covenant to remix that song for us. But It looks like maybe Kalte Farben(old vac friend), and maybe Mindless Faith might. I just want to make sure it is commercially viable. I’m sick of putting tons of work into Singles that never sell when I could be making a new lp, where I make the real money.
