Tour, Tour, Tour, Tour, Tour 09?

July 18th, 2009 by Hexfix93

To tour, to not to tour, the above video, that is footage from one of the shows in the usa, I don’t look like that anymore, and don’t move like that any more(a drunk chicken with his head cut off )LOL. AHAHAHAHA I promise the show will not be like this again. I am mulling over the track list for the tour, and what I could pull off and what I ignored on the last tours. On the last tours no guitar tracks were played, hardly any slow songs, it was a more up beat hyper techno ebm punk show. This time around, I am trying to find guitarist’s to play in my band, so we are bringing out most of the guitar tracks for this tour. We will be more like a rock band with some electronics thrown in. I also plan on playing the trip hop kind of tracks, like slut, caught, ghost in the circuit, dilauded, a lot of the new lp, and the hits. We don’t want to play much of the bte series, I lost most of the midi files and it would be hard to remake in such short time, in future tours i will spend the time to re write some of the old old songs.

Any how, I am working on this now, I am still doing the final tweaks on the mixes for the new lp and getting that ready to be mastered this upcoming week. So that is almost in the bag. So now we are working on the live show as well. So far it looks like VAC + another act, which has yet to be determined. I am trying to figure out the best way to tour, nightliners(tour buses) cost way too much, We were thinking about buying a RV cheap or something. Some thing we can sleep in. I am going to get this Mark Passmore guy to do lights and sound for us, trying to think of a good stage show, maybe get video projectors, maybe get props and stuff, so I have to spend a lot of money, and I think I have to front all the money on the tshirt merch and stuff. I have no idea how many people will show up, what cities to play, where I would get good turn out. I think my status has shrunk over the years(I don’t know). I need to find one more person to play keys and samples for VAC, but i have to find that person in colorado, will not play shows with people who i cannot rehearse with. I am really going to try and put on a great show. This is now in the works, I am devoting a lot of time and resources, and I am learning all the lyrics and vocal lines again, and getting my gear to sound good for the stage. Oh so much fun.

More than anything, I just want to put on a good show, If it goes well, and I make a few bucks and recover my costs, I may make touring a thing I do every year if I can get my head around it and do it right and not just be typical ebm show. Fuck that. GUESS WHAT, there will be no laptops on stage!!!!!!!!!!! As far as gear goes, It looks like we will bring 2 big samplers, and the jp8080, acoustic and 12 string and 6 string and bass guitars, amps, fx. I will sample the fuck out of my modular, and sh2, don’t want to bring the analogs, but i will sample myself tweaking the fuck out of them and stuff. Going to be cool. Gotta get great string patches up and running, that won’t be a problem I don’t think!!!! So fun. So much fucking work too. ARRRGGGGGGGG!!!!!

do you think you’ll make it a full US tour, as in traveling around the US, or just sticking around the midwest region?

  2. untouchable_888 Says:

    Awesome. Look forward to it.

hey man. come to new york. please. im dying to see you live. i would love it so much. and please do a meet and greet if you can. if not, i totally understand. it’s just that i want to see you live. i’ve been wanting to see you guys live for the longest ever since i’ve picked up that btw vol. 4 back in 05 and been hooked in ever since. and bought almost every cd you have. except for the dial 8, decypher and pretty toy singles (and im still trying to find it). idk if you’ll read this or not. but i just want to say it because i love your music. and im willing to support your tour all the way if you decide or the label gets you to play in new york. for 1 or 2 shows. but i would love to see you guys live.

  4. Image Says:

I’m glad you want to tour again. RV’s will be a hell of a lot cheaper than other means of getting around. And you could probably find places to keep it for free at night, if you know the right people.

Show sounds like it’s going to be amazing. I don’t want to miss it for anything.

  5. magenticka Says:

well this is brilliant news! If the tour is fixed I’ll have to consider flying out to the States for it, but I hope you can do a few european shows too, London, Berlin etc.

  6. e.g.: Says:

New York, Philly, Baltimore, Washington: I’d make it to any of them.

  7. knugz Says:

hell, i’d make it a point to get to one of your shows, and i’d drag along a good group of my buds too.

  8. frozen Says:

This is wonderful news! You should come to Texas.

  9. Porkspam Says:

I’m guessing if he tours major markets like NYC would be the ones to hit. Hopefully they’ll be some cool merch too…. and don’t forget the tip jar at the merch table, sounds lame but i know people who’ve done small shows and gotten the thing stuffed and were able to get a decent meal, etc.
i know amanda palmer did this recently and was making crazy money… and she had a thing where she used twitter to get fans to help organize places to stay for the bands which saved money on hotels and beats sleeping in a van..

  10. paris_hilton Says:

Do you have any roadies yet?

  11. Hexfix93 Says:

    I can’t afford roadies.

  12. Rob Says:

if you consider nyc, take a look at : the fillmore @ irving plaza, bb kings blues club, roseland ballroom, nokia theatre (if expecting more than 500 people)

  13. Kaustikutt Says:

I can make it if you come to Detroit!

  14. Arrrgh Says:

Great news… woot you are shouting my name… =D

  15. Fratus Says:

Plz come in Europe and especialy in France !!!
It’s boring to not have the possibility to see u in live !!!

Come in France, u ‘re already welcome

  16. Hex Says:

If you actually go for the tour i’d go insane to see it! It would probably raise a few more fans and I’ve been dieing to see a VAC tour. Last one you did I didn’t even know it was going on and was upset to have missed it and then hear you wouldn’t tour ever again. If you do, swing by Florida sometime ! Or maybe I can attempt to find a way up the the mid-west somehow… You should do a meet n greet or an after party xD

  17. deadsoul Says:

i’d make plans for a trip to see vac live.
    colorado, cali or hopefully arizona.
have fun planning your tour and take your time to make sure it’s all gravy. pre-production always takes the longest.

  18. misscard Says:

NYC yes. I’m sure you can a pull a crowd out. Those venues someone posted up there sound are pretty good and the right size. Theres somewhat of a scene up here but I would think they’d love to see you, I know I would.

  19. Locutus Says:

I guess you will mostly be touring large countries, if you go outside the US, but if you would decide to swing by sweden, you have quite a few fans here.
If you decide to do a show in germany or any other country relatively close to Sweden, I will definately go there and bring some friends. I really love your music!

  20. phobos Says:

A lot of your label mates from Metropolis hang around LA.Southern Cal is close enough to Colorado you should make the stop.

  21. Mr Knesh Says:

If you decide to play in the NW, here is some contact info for Portland, Oregon.
    Derrick with Corrosion Records.
He books shows with a venue called the Fez Ballroom.

    http://www.myspace.com/corrosionrecords
    http://www.fezballroom.com

Its not a huge venue but they have a draw for every industrial/ebm show that they book. Derrick is very professional.
I hope to see you on tour :)

  22. Image Says:

Yeah, Derrick is great. I buy cd’s from him all the time.

  23. Rev Bogwam Says:

Good to see you’re still alive, mister. Good luck with the tour!

  24. Glittery Sawa Says:

Come to the Baltimore/ DC Area, there are a ton of fans around here that would LOVE to see you in concert me being one of them, and I know of at least 15 other people that I mention your coming they would tour, But if you do NYC I would make it up there too lol.

  25. fan from europe Says:

damn…i don’t get it, really, because for me you are amazing and world-famous artist and you should be rich!

  26. Days in Exile Says:

I’ll see you wherever you’re playing closest. I know I’ll have to drive several hours, but it’s absolutely worth it.

I know everyone’s making requests for places you should play, but you should try to come to Atlanta. I know for a fact you have a ton of fans in the Atlanta area.

  27. RAW|BhL Says:

I’m so glad things have turned around for you! After our chat in SL how you said this would be your last album and you’d never tour again i was so gutted! I hope you decide to come over to Europe…i will come and see you play live wherever you play even if it is only the US, it is something i’ve promised myself i’ll do before i die lol! I really can’t wait for the new album to come out…more inspiration and honest music. I think that’s why i respect the music you create so much, how brutally honest it is and the amount of passion each song harnesses. I’m loving the direction of the new album, FWK with Fate and TTG and the massive amount of bonus material that’ll be on there..is it still gonna be an hour n half worth of stuff?!
    Live long and prosper!

  28. DarthLeo Says:

As I mentioned on VampireFreaks, please come to Atlanta, the electronic music scene here is strong and people will come see you play. And as I mentioned before, if I get enough notice of the concert date, I will try to take the day off from work and sneak down to the venue with some raw food yummies! :)

  29. ViddyDrone Says:

NO LAPTOPS?! This sounds so awesome! And props!! I’ve damn near lost my shit to blithering idiocy in the hypermania of pure excitement! You have a following in PA!! I wore a VAC shirt to the Leaether Strip show in Philly a few weeks ago and several people commented on how much they liked VAC, one guy even had a CotD tattoo! There’s also a following in Scranton PA (of The Office fame), where I reside!

Hope to see you in either Philly or New York!
Good luck with the stage show prep!

  30. Hexfix93 Says:

I am taking the bonus material off, it effects the sound quality.

I might put up a link to the free content, the info might be in the booklet.

Seriously, enhanced cds ruin the audio quality, more jitter or something is added.

  31. ViddyDrone Says:

I would rather have less of a good thing than more of a bad thing. Please continue to make the material available! Maybe even some sort of limited tour run CD… Seriously, a download with a code from the CD or a link mentioned in the booklet, something like that would be great. :W: has had bonus downloads accessed with codes inside the booklet for the last few albums and that seems to have worked well.

Bring on the VAC material and can’t wait for the whole new album package (CD, tour, merch, etc.)!!!

  32. TrivialGod Says:

you should goto cleveland i know plenty of people love vac around this area. id put posters up and shit if you wanted.
