Sorry about that. + VAC update.

Our down time was related to some server issues. But I did get more work done on the new vac, ironing out some lyrics and getting ready to sing, practicing. This is all new to me again, the songs are differnt again. It is bringing out a different me. But i still plan on being downer, negative, and depressed. It is how my life has been during this whole process. Just so you know. I have decided to make the LP a double EP. Two EPs on one record, 5 for one EP, and 4 for the other EP. The first EP on the cd is a goth lp in the vein of bte 2 aka FATE mixed with the dark guitar stuff on lfb and cotd. The second ep is a techno EP with in the style of acid house meets fwk and ttg. Seriously, lots of 303ish lines, slides and falls, funky, dance oriented, like 303 orbital and lords of acid meets fwk and ttg. I like this record a lot, I have listened to the songs hundreds of times now while figuring out lyrics. I am not sick of the material at all. It still amazes and interests me. I’m not burnt out on it. So I expect the vocals to click well. I have a lot of passion for this. I have made more sense of the track order and split things up. So you will get 2 eps, and a hidden mp3 lp of material on the new LP. I don’t think i’ll have it done by the end of december, but definatly middle of jan.

I also got rid of the podcasts. I would rather type my thoughts than speak about them into a mic and sound like a dork. Oh well. I dont think hardly any one cared. I will also review some more music soon. I will also try and make this site a little easier to navigate and try to get more people on the vac forum. You might see some advertising on the VAC site. I really am in a tought financial situation and no one donates hardly anything, maybe 3 total. So I have to find a way to make some extra money to pay of my gear loans and feed myself. Any way, have a happy holidays.

Good to hear the new album will be done by mid Jan – i’ve recently started listening to Fate again…ALOT and it’ll be good to see VAC go in that direction again! As for no money – i know the feeling, i got payed last week and i’ve got nothing left, actually minus what i need, so much for the PS3 for xmas :-( oh well! I look forward to hearing, singing and feeling your negativity on the new album ;-P

    awesome news!

good to hear that you’re totally on the record. excited which new site it will show, i always loved on VAC that each record has it’s own atmosphere or the production. and the meaning for the record in a personal manner as well.

The idea of two EPs being in one record sounds interesting.

Do not speak for everyone syphax.

  4. Flaxman Says:

Your Crimbo prezzie should now be in your Paypal A/C. Hope it helps. Can’t wait for new CD and looking forward to more music reviews.

  5. Hexfix93 Says:

Flaxman, Thank you. I will try and greet every person who donates to me on the credits of my new lp, it really helps. I buy all the games I review, i get no kick backs from anyone i review, no free cds, no fre games, no free media. I help others out of the kindness of my heart and ask for nothing in return. I see my blog kind of like a magazing. The magazine I always wanted to do and never did. So when you donate, it says, thanks for the magazine. I only want donations for the work I do here on the blog.

i like the hybrid of sounds you’ve described for the EPs. Calling ov the Fate, or Fate ov the Dead. Fun with Twisted Acid House. =P

  7. deadsoul Says:

    coolness! sounds like great progress.
i understand the financial burden, a few good goth industrial bands in my area had to temporarily dissolve because of lack of funds… not to mention i’m totally broke for the holidays.

podcasts were pretty cool, but would love to hear audio tests and demos like the one’s you did for your new equipment.

  8. thedarkpoptoys Says:

    can’t wait.

    cool like some sweet updates

  9. Stevil Says:

sweet. the lp sounds awesome. can’t wait to pick it up. when do you think we’ll be able to purchase it?

does it matter how much we donate? due to my mcdonalds salary budget along with the christmas season i can basically only afford spare change.

  10. knugz Says:

i think a lot of us have finanicial hell right now. i have some serve ones, well not ones i caused they were the result of my former step dad, so we kicked him out, he pulled something that was leading to the direction he was going to kill my mom, so,… yeah.

i work at wal-mart, i’m an assembler, so i’m a bit higher up then a cashier or floor assosiate. since i mostly in the back most of the day and i’m by myself alot, basically i work with managers more then i do floor assosiates, most of the time anyways.

  11. knugz Says:

well, how good are you at drawling, i know you’re real imaginative, maybe some people would be willing to buy some sketches you’d do. whether an image or a comic strip, maybe it’d work.

  12. [aaroN] Says:

i think i will try to donate at least a small amount to get recognized in the album credits. and of course, to help out a bit. i created a paypal/ebay account yesterday, but i am waiting until it can be verified before i begin using either, just to be on the safe side.

  13. Dead Criminal Says:

So here’s a question now. Since it’s 2 EPs on 1 LP, will the release have 2 titles then?

  14. Hexfix93 Says:

Yes, i think so… Trying to figure it all out now..

  15. Projekt Eins Says:

I’ve been trying to get my hands on some older tee’s and hoodies for years now. Would love a hat too…

Have you / Metropolis ever considered re-releasing the older clothing merch or redesigned clothing merch for your older albums? not only would it bring in some cash (I’d buy a ton at least), its free advertising for you.

  16. Sumez Says:

    “Seriously, lots of 303ish lines”

Awesome! It’s been a long time since we heard the acid sound from you, I’m REALLY looking forward to that.

  17. Günther Noot Says:

Hey, i looked forward to the podcasts. As far as the donations, 3 what? Donors or dollars? Either way that’s pretty sad. Finally, i agree with what Projekt Eins said. that’s all.

  18. magenticka Says:

I just donated too, and will do again after I purchase the new LP. To everyone: Whatever you can afford! Thanks, Hex. Looking forward to the new material, and thanks for the blog and everything.

  19. Hexfix93 Says:

Well, if you donate, look at it more like a subscription to the blog, it will make me continue the blog.

As far as merch goes, i make next to nothing on it. That is why you don’t see a lot of it, it’s not worth my time in most cases. I need to get my shit together on it thought for the next lp. I have gotten a few more donations, and it really helps guys. It makes it so this blog is worth my time :) thanks.

  20. Projekt Eins Says:

That’s shitty (that you make next to nothing on the merch).

Can you work out a better contract with Metropolis so you get more of the revenue?

What about funding it privately and selling it out of your home? Take orders on this site and stock boxes of merch in your closet.

There has to be a way to do it profitably…

Almost no-one I meet knows VAC… It may help to put a few bucks into advertising or ask Metropolis for an advertising budget? If more people know who VAC is, you increase your market and make more money.

    Good luck bro.

  21. Hexfix93 Says:

The last merch i made wasnt even with metropolis..

    so its not metropolis..

i only made about 600 bucks on the lust for blood tshirts, less i think.

  22. vampiricmaggot Says:

I saw one guy running around in a VAC Shirt on the last Amphi Festival this year! heheheh
this was so cool to see

  23. Sumez Says:

I haven’t been a big fan of the design on the VAC t-shirts so far. That means a lot to me, when it comes to deciding whether to buy a band t-shirt.

  24. House Toy Says:

Did you hear the good news eric. They are cracking down on mp3 file sharer’s

We can sell records again. Yah

  25. House Toy Says:

Sorry my brain is not working bryan

But anyone who swaps music files using a major isp is going to get a warning letter.

and they’re stopping the lawsuits against dead people and single mothers

anyways they’r stopping the useless lawsuits

music production lives on cds will sell again

I have to get to work.
