Movies: The Dark Knight, Hexfix93’s take.

I’m so pissed. Heath will never be able to do this role again. By far, he was the best actor in any batman movie. I’m not joking. He sold it. The joker, pure genius. I’m a huge fan of Christian Bale(american psycho is one of my all time favorite movies) as well, and he one up’d him as well. Heath pulls off the psycho perfectly. Beyond what I was expecting. Jack Nicholson looks ammature in this role when compared to Heath. Ok ok, enough of Heath. How was the movie. Great, dark, epic, and a rush. It’s long and does a good job at reeling you in from the get go. I don’t want to give anything away, so I wont go into it beyond my impression. WOW. I really thought the acting was pretty good, but a few of Batman’s more intense lines were a bit forced only in a couple of part, but beyond that, I was really floored by it all, the fx, lo tek, the gritty look and feel. The realism. I liked it lots. The best super hero movie ever in my book. I am going to watch this on an IMAX screen soon. This is a must see. I give it a 10 out of 5. R.I.P. Heath. You nailed this one to the wall. I think it’s your best performance as an actor. We will miss you.

I have to wait a bit longer as I’m in the UK, I think it’s out next week. I can’t wait.

Oooh, that is a great still you’ve chosen. I’m also waiting for UK release. I’ve just got the “Batman Begins” DVD so I can watch it again before seeing “The Dark Knight”. The way people are talking about Heath Ledger, he looks a shoo-in for an Oscar - but “Best Actor” or “Best Supporting Actor”?

he played the joker perfect.

I currently have a great picture of the Joker as my desktop wallpaper, this has been one of my most anticipated movies ever, next to the new Star Trek that’ll be coming out next year. I read somewhere (i think on movieweb.com that Michael Caine said Heath Ledgers portrayal of the joker is one of the most spine chilling performances he’s ever seen, and, “He frightened the life out of me” - lol. I can’t wait for the 24th of July when we get it in the UK.

The Dark Knight… i like it. And of course is more ‘real’. The Joker… just amazing, no doubt. Batman… it was fine but i think with a strong background and personal drama would be better.
I must say i like the past Batmans (talking about Batman as a character), one of the few things i like from this one, is his voice…
Anyway, the movie worths because of the Joker.

The movie was fucking perfection on a film reel.
I honestly shed tears of joy at how magnificent it was, and how sorrowful I feel that Heath cannot sell us the greatest portrayal of the greatest villain of all time again.
I don’t think I can go see a new movie again after The Dark Knight. My fandom of films ends with the credits of this movie.

O not to mention the Soundtrack, for any of you who enjoyed theatrical music throughout the movie you would love the sound track.
Here is a link too listen to it for free.

spectacular film indeed. Heath’s phenomenal performance will have steep shoes to fill for anyone else who would ever take up the character. i just wonder if the script was set for Joker to appear in the next film? Joker did mention something about their destiny is interwinded and will be destined to fight forever.
