Models: Apnea.

Under siege at the moment. Yes, she is being sued right along side of lithium picnic. They APPEAR to have some sort of a GAG order of some sorts?, why else would their old info site be down now? So I don’t know how to get them donations anymore. This is a shame. THIS IS ART! ART ART! ART FOR EXPRESSION NOT AS MARKET CAMPAIGNS. What on earth has happened to our sacred creations. Is it all money and empires now? Fuck the art empires! Give it back to the creators! SG is jealous because most of the crap on their site is pin up trash. As to where Lithium and Apnea truly make breathtaking art! FUCK. This stuff pisses me off so much.. Any way, Apnea has been one of my favorite models for years now. She does a lot of fetish nude stuff, But I am a huge fan of the super pretty art stuff she does with her big elaborate hair does and makeup. Her cover for Gothic Beauty was amazing. I consider Lithium and Apnea friends, so I take this personally. I hate when people fuck with my friends.

Here are some of my favorite photos of Apnea:

Anime: Naruto: Series, Hexfix93’s take.

March 28th, 2008 by Hexfix93

naruto-vs-sasuke.jpg

I know people are going to complain. But I don’t care. I LOVE NARUTO! I don’t care. Most people see it on the cartoon network in english, which really makes it worse. In japanese it’s very good. The battles are epic, The characters are great. In fact some of my favorite characters in anime are in this series. GAARA! He is my favorite character for sure. I also really like Kakashi. Sure it centers around the brat naruto. But I love misfits, I was a misfit growing up. Much like naruto, so i can relate to it. Sure this is uber emo. But I love sad depressing stories and violence and epic supernatural martial arts battles. It can be campy and funny in the same manner that Kenshin was. But I don’t care, in fact I think that is why I like it so much. It goes from being light hearted and silly, to super depressing, angry, and super evil. The original Naruto, follows the story when naruto is still a kid.

But Naruto Shippûden deals with the cast as they become teenagers. This is where it gets way more serious and dark. Gaara. poor gaara. Seriously. This gets really good, The Fight between Naruto and Orochimaru is very cool.

I recommend these highly. But don’t buy it, its so over priced, you can find streams of it online by clicking here for naruto. And Here for Naruto Shippûden. This is TV in japan, paid for by advertisers.

Music: Tegan & Sara: The Con, Hexfix93 Review.

March 27th, 2008 by Hexfix93

The Con The Con
  1. I was Married
  2. Relief next to me
  3. The Con
  4. Knife Going in
  5. Are you ten years ago
  6. Back in your head
  7. Hop a Plane
  8. Soil, Soil
  9. Burn Your life down
  10. Ninteen
  11. Floorplan
  12. Like O, Like H
  13. Dark Come Soon
  14. Call it off

To me, this is the acoustic canadian more rocked out version of Ladytron. Well, a lot more than that, but that is what it initially reminded me of. But when I bought this lp a week ago, it has not left my mp3 player since, and I have listened to it over 20 times now. I LOVE THIS. Reminds me of the musicality of the Legendary Pink dots, The kick ass song writing of the beatles, and the cute alternative canadian charm and angst of both Tegan and Sara, and I don’t care, I like TEGAN MORE. AHAAHAHAHAHAHAH take that sara. What stands out he most on this lp? By far, The vocal harmonies. Sometimes its haunting.

I cannot even tell you, these girls are so talented. So much power and emotion in their voices. Both can play instruments very well. Something I love about real musicians. There seems to be much more emotion in the music and sounds.

Sure, some of this is like ultra pop. But it has this desperation to it, this urgency and emotion that really calls out to me. I have not liked a pop record in a long long time. I really love the frantic sound of “are you ten years ago”. I love the drums on this LP. I only wish i could hook up with a drummer like this and a studio to really record it well like on this record. I am a sucker for well done acoustic guitar that doesn’t sound corny, I think they write with and record acoustic guitars perfect.

If there is one complaint I have, it is that the record is WAY TO FUCKING HOT and as a result sometimes the mid range and high hits get a tad crunchy for me(this could because of the mp3s I bought, I don’t own the actual cd, just the amazon mp3 downloads). I wish people would master stuff lower like they did in the 80s. I’m sorry it just sounds better and more hi-fi, if you want loud, buy loud hifi audio stereos!

My Favorite song is “Relief next to me” Especially the part where she says in my slamming in my frame, then my framework and then the crash hits. I love details, I love how powerful the vocals sound and how it really pushes the song. So many little details. The songs are short and and they possess you to listen to them over and over and over. I discovered this band on Myspace, it was on a fan’s page as the default music. I went to their myspace and fell in love with the songs and videos. I love their demeanor in their videos. Their Home movies made me laugh as well.

The best songs are Back in your head, Releif next to me, Nineteen, Are you ten years ago, The Con, Burn down your life. Thank you Canada for RUSH, Hockey, Skinny Puppy, Socialized Medicine, and now Tegan and Sara. I give this a 5 out of 5. Buy now! Click Here to buy The Con by Tegan & Sara. Games: Rainbow 6 Vegas 2, PS3. Hexfix93’s Review.

March 25th, 2008 by Hexfix93

rrv21.jpg

Lets start by saying, this has been done before. Innovation here? NOT ONE BIT. In fact, there are frame rate issues in this game. The game controls slow, and sloppy. Character animations are twitchy and jittery and look very un-natural. The character models have been improved over the original rainbow 6 vegas, but the environments are really dull, low res, and static. After playing cod4 all the time, this feels like you are on quaaludes, like someone dosed your drink with ghb, but not enough to knock you out. Lets not forget the massive online problems. Krztov and I, we played the main story in co-op all the way through. But, he would invite me 30 times, and I would get “unable to join game” over and over again. A reboot would sometimes make it work. BUG CITY. DID THEY NOT BETA TEST THIS BEFORE THE RELEASE? GIVE ME A FUCKING BREAK!

Don’t get me wrong though. This game is decent despite its glaring problems. The Duck and Cover system is back, ala Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune style. They added a run button and this helps. I still feel like the controls are slow and sluggish though. Some of the outdoor battles are really nifty. The enemy AI is pretty good and move around and hide a lot. I did have some fun playing this co-op with my friend(when it worked). But I did also play it by myself a bit and found it really boring like this. Controls over the friendly wingmen are the same and make the game so easy to walk through, just have them clear out every room, use the snake cam to tag people behind the door. Kind of makes the game feel really cheap and un-challenging. So I recommend not using the wingmen much if you want the game to actually challenge you.

r6v22.jpg

I preferred army of two over this. It had more character, the story was told in a much better way as well(not to mention the bromance). The Audio in this games a joke, the ambience was louder than all the dialogue and acting most of the time, so I would miss parts of the story. Didn’t matter, because the story was so bad and predictable I didn’t even care. This doesn’t even feel like a tom clancy game. Usually Tom Clancy’s games have decent stories full of bullshit propaganda that is done well. This was like. WTF is he saying? Of fuck it. One cool thing though, If you have an eye toy, you can map your face on your character. Krztov did this, and it was hilarious. But it too has issues with lighting, he tried to get his grandmother into the game, and it would’t work for some reason.

r6v23.jpg

4.0 Presentation
Bad acting, Bad story, Bad menus. Bad.

6.8 Visuals
Slow frame rate, buggy animations. Dated look and feel, bland textures.

5.0 Audio
So bad, the audio mixing was done by a 3 year old with Attention Deficit Disorder.

7.0 Game Mechanics
Controls are sluggish. Felt like I was on downers when I played this. But not horrid. Stop and Pop is fun if you have the patients.

2.0 Replay
Single player was about 8 hrs. Because of the online issues of, 1 out of 40 tries getting a single game to connect FORGET MULTI PLAYER.

6.4 Total Score.
(out of 10 / not an average)

Seriously, This was fun when played co-op. Terrorist hunt was ok too. But it wouldn’t not even work 90% of the time. I recommend you rent this. It’s barely worth a rent, and that is only if you really love first person tactical shooters. If not, Stay far far far away from this game. Ubi soft does not even acknowledge a problem with the ps3 version of the game. You can read about the nightmare HERE!. This is a joke. UBISUCK should really learn how to code on the ps3.

Models: Drastique.

tolllkirsche_1_by_drastique_plastique.jpg

I met her right before the first show I had ever done. I was slightly buzzed before I went on stage, she was walking around back stage, I was like, who is that. Scared the shit out of me. I’m not around really drop dead gorgeous girls often. Thorsten told me it was one of his Xs. I was like holy shit, how did you let her go? are you crazy? Oh well. To my knowledge they are together now. Lucky bastard. Any how, I feel like a shithead, I asked her to do some work for VAC, cd cover or something ages ago, and never did it. I’m so poor now I could never afford it :( any way. She is one of my favorite models. Check out her deviant art site HERE. Or her official web site Here.

Check out my favorite shots:

  26. “Morbid Deceiver” – 0:45
  27. “The Curse” – 3:17

First, I made a video for my favorite Napalm Death song of all time. “Musclehead”. This was the first song I ever heard from this band. Long ago on the atari st hacking demo scene, some group made a st demo with this song playing. Back then sampled music was a rare thing, so it blew us away, we were on acid. We would watch that demo over and over when we were tripping. We would roll on the floor laughing. No joke, this music was so pissed off to us at the time, there was nothing else like it back then. This was the first grindcore ever. It forever made me a fan. The song sounded like the tasmanian devil and the cookie monster having a pissed off fight over who ate all the cookies. Like one of those raging knock down throw everything in the house and break the place to pieces kind of fight. Genius. It was this that sparked the genesis of Toxic Coma. In fact, we sample napalm death all the time in toxic coma. Watch the video below, the song is only like 50 seconds long.

Waaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyy BACK. When Lee Dorian was the front man of napalm death, well, to me, this is the best napalm death record. Sure barney has done some great work, I wont deny him that, but Lee Dorian had the best cookie monster voice of all. What really highlights this record the most are the high pitched screams, I think Mick Harris does those. They just don’t sound the same these days with out these guys.

This is “GRINDCORE” aka “Cookie Monster Death Punk”. I simply love the originators of this genre. Napalm Death was the first to really refine it and make it kick ass not to mention Mick Harris(napalm death’s drummer) was the one who invented the term “GRINDCORE”. I listen to this music when I lift weights or when I am playing super violent video games. I love pissed off dark metal. This is the pinnacle of that genre to me in it’s most pure punk not sell out form. This music sounds angry and pissed. My favorite tracks: Unchallenged Hate, Cock-Rock Alienation, From Enslavement to Obliteration, Social Sterility, Inconceivable, Mentally Murdered, and ov course my favorite: MUSCLEHEAD!!!!!!

I still sport Napalm Death Shirts. In fact, if you see me out, the way I look these days, you would probably think I was from the grindcore scene. What really makes me love this band over all these years is their politics. They care about the world. They speak out against animal cruelty, against fascism, against war, against evil imperial capitalism etc etc. In fact, my views are pretty similar to theirs.

To me, this is fun music. I don’t listen to this all the time. I always pull this out first when I get really pissed off, or I am really pushing myself physically. This to me is the perfect angst music. Nothing out there sounds this raw, this angry, and this punk. This speaks directly to my primal hatred. Not to mention, this music is like super fast. Listen to it very carefully, this is very hard to play and perform.

The best concerts I have seen are usually grindcore shows. The energy is off the charts. I have so much fun watching this stuff live. Pure energy. I know that this will not be for everyone. If you hate metal and guitars especially. I can’t imagine most VNV fans getting into this. But honestly, these are my roots, this is where I come from musically, death punk. I give this a 5 out of 5.
