Anime: Death Note, Reviewed by Hexfix93.

Death Note. This is one of those anime series that had me riveted from the beginning. Sure the story kind of moves slow. There is some times a lack of action. What is lacking in action is more than made up for with intelligent story telling, and a very psychological intense scenario. A high school kid finds a note book, if he sees a picture, and knows their name, he can write it in the book and kill them, and write how it will happen. This power corrupts. The story gets intense as they call in a special investigator who is as witty and intelligent as the killer. The two battle in a chess match of death.
For sure this is one of the best anime to hit the shelves in the past 10 years. If you are into intelligent story telling, and character driven anime, I highly recommend this. This is a very cool dark and Erie series. Perfect for us weirdos. Check it… I give this a 5 out of 5. Click here to buy Death Note.

hell yeah!
im still in the process of watching it all, but it has since become one of my current favorite animes. its a break from hack and slash/shoot em up or fighting action animes, and it does make you think and gives you that feeling of being a detective on the case as well, cause sometimes your left trying to figure out what just happened. the scenarios are well thought out, the killings are ingenious most of the time. its becoming a popular anime since its airing on adult swim.
currently, im watching death note and x/1999 to keep me busy while i wait for new naruto shippuuden manga chapters and episodes to be released each friday.

i truly find it intriguing & enjoyable. very smart and compelling as well as a slow start. I couldn’t agree more with you, and i’m still considering of buying the series on DVD but the cost of a full anime series is expensive.

No one really spoiled the series for me, or told me about it … so I never knew what was coming when I watched it.
I think the latter half of the series (episodes 26-37) could of been done a bit better, or maybe I don’t like it as much, perhaps bitter because of [spoiler event]. I found myself laughing out loud at some of the shit L and Light pulled off though, episodes 1-17 were masterpieces. 18-24 were mindfuck, or “just as planned”.
Don’t want to spoil it anymore than I have, but an awesome series that makes you think.

…..not to mention that he called someone a hippy. I mean, calling someone a f**kwit, a bollockbrain or a tanganese tosspot is fair enough. But calling someone a “hippy”??! That’s bang out of order, that is.
