VAC: Who is Velvet Acid Christ? 2008 tour? new lp?

UPDATE: I’m taking a few days off from the blog. need a break. worked through the entire holiday season.
A very complex Question. As of right now it is Bryan Erickson aka Disease Factory(as vocalist and musicians) aka Hexfix93(As producers and engineer): Plays Keybaords and Synths, Drums, Guitars, Bass, Vocals, Lyrics, Producer, Engineer, Mixing, Programming fx and synths. Todd Loomis aka Elegia: Plays guitars, and keyboards and synths, some drum work. I will work on a track with Erick Kosnar as well, we’ll see how that goes. VAC started in 1990 in Boulder Colorado. Inventor and founding member is Bryan Erickson, Bryan has been the leader in every incarnation and line up of the project since it’s inception.
We finally have a live band in the works, The line up might be, Disease Factory, Elegia(maybe), and Hypostasis and maybe Eric Kosnar of Darker Days Tomorrow/Emergence(this depends on some things and may or may not happen). This will probably be the live band during the upcoming 2008 Velvet Acid Christ world tour. Hope this gives my fans some hope. Nothing is written in stone, but so far I think these guys on will be on board for shows. We plan on having a new VAC record out in spring or fall, and a tour in the summer. I will be adding a Current band members page to this site very soon. No mater what, i am touring in 2008, even if all my hair falls out.. ahahaahahah
The New LP to come out in 2008 is called “Songs for Villains: Hymn’s ov the Apocalypse.” . So far we have 4 songs finished, Phucking Phreak 2008, Killed In Space(i’m on the fence on this track though, it might not make the final cut), Caustic Itch, and Faded. We only plan on making all new vac cds 45 to 50 minutes long, so 8 to 9 songs maximum. We will not do any singles in the future. If we decide to do covers, they will be online releases only for sale through Itunes or amazon. Our production is much better this time, we have mastered many daws, fx units and mixing analog. This has really improved our production, we have high end fx, great converters, great hardware compressors, mics, guitars, amps, mixers, synths and a desire to make dark brilliant songs that are catchy and memorable. We are making huge strides.
Also Todd/Elegia has made a lot of progress on his solo project. I’m hoping it will open for VAC instead of toxic coma this is not confirmed either. Toxic Coma has no plans as of now. We lost a member in Toxic Coma, so I don’t know what will happen with that side project as of now. Todd’s project is pretty cool. It sounds nothing like vac, but it is electronic. Hopefully soon we will have some demo tracks online for us to listen to..

vac far from a lost cause I never can stop listening to VAC completely i always come back to it no matter it never gets old I love everything you’ve ever made Bryan keep doing what you do and I excited for the new LP i’ll be buying as soon as its out and im gonna be at one of ur live shows fucking period!

Wow, these news sound so great to me. Hypostasis is back? I cannot wait for the next LP ;) What are the main influences right now? I think it will be Death in June and Astral Projection, if I remember it correctly.

i’m sat here trying not to be excited but………….. just play, anywhere, i’ll be the first on a plane to anywhere in the world, i don’t care what it costs!!!!! I’m still playing Lust for Blood to death, its my favourite album yet, so a new album so soon is great, a friend & i intend to go out to the US from the UK this summer it would be amazing if we could coincide with a tour date, can you imagine if you came to play London………. i can dream

Just the possibility of a 2008 tour puts a smile on my face. Heh now I just have to find out how far we’ll have to drive to see you play Bryan. I’m seriously looking forward to Songs For Villains too. This looks like it will be a very good year for VAC.

Glad to hear there’s a new album in the works and possibly a US tour as well.
I saw you in New York City on December 5th 2000(your last NYC appearance). Though there wasnt much of a turn out, you put on a great show and I got to meet you. I lost my pictures from that night (@%*&) but the memory still remains. If it was a weekend show rather than a Tuesday night you probably would’ve had a greater turn out.
Though you have alot of fans yet very few comments or so, don’t stress it. All will come in due time. Be thankful for those that do show there support for you and keep doing what you do for them.
I do hope you tour in NY again. I’m getting up in the years (42) and I can’t do shows like I used to, Ha ! But I will be there front row at your show.
You and your music are a great influence to me and if it means anything, this one fan truly admires and greatly appreciates all your music and hard work.

Not to sound mean, but you’ve been talking about touring for the last few years now. Every time you mentioned it, I got really excited, only to be let down by you later saying there will be no tour after all.
