Helloooo. Anyone out there? Answer me please!

new vac banner 2

I busted my ass on this site redesign. Not many people have commented. I don’t think people really dig deep into my web site ever. Which is a shame, there is a ton of vac content. And now i am spilling out and promote things i like by recommending music and video games, movies, anime and writing up reviews for them etc.

I hope it’s worth something to you guys out there. I want the fans to really get into this site and leave comments and communicate. Hell, even if you are not a fan, you can talk about what i post on here at least.. I think there is a lot of cool information on this site. My music reviews are informative, and i post videos along with them so you can see and hear the bands.. any way..

On a personal note, I am struggling to find inspiration on making music right now, so that is why I turned to the web site for the time being. I really want to work with todd again after all I think. He was a huge help on the last record. I really am proud of lust for blood. But i see it as more of a movie sound track type of lp more than a club lp. Right now the scene is being tore up with bands like combichrist, which is nothing like VAC. ahahah so I don’t think we are really getting attention in the clubs these days.. If we are, please post your play lists in the comments…

I closed out my myspace, my yahoo messenger, and I now only have my vampirefreaks account, the vac forum, and this new underground media blog to communicate with people. So please, talk to me here. This is where you will get my attention now.. myspace is evil, run by the fox assholes who lie about everything and because of that, I reverted to this media site blog, because i didn’t want to join some corrupt company’s blog. Do you really want myspace knowing who all your friends are? what you think, who you talk to etc. That is rupert Rupert Murdoch’s company, he’s a modern day fascist. If the world starts falling apart, do you really want those nazi capitalist bastards to know all that stuff about you? I seriously think the end of civilization is coming to us soon. what do you think?

test! does this comment thing really work?

  2. karmicthreat Says:

The website isn’t that bad really. Better than what many people put up. I guess my only major issue with it is the sidebar. It repeats things 3 times or more for some things if you count the recent entries section as well. It makes it kind of intimidating because you don’t know if you are getting the same info or different info by looking at it. Just condensing things into a single column hierarchal menu of some sort would do wonders.

As far as the ideas for the website go its been pretty good. I like the gear porn sections and the background posting have been interesting. I wish more bands had more of a web presence. Outside of myspace that is. I loath myspace just because its entire setup is so broken. Fox can go take it in the ass as well.

So yea, we’ve out here. Blowing out our ears while masturbating to metasonix demos.

  3. Kevin Says:

I like the site, it’s a good idea. Especially the overall theme for it (reviews, recommendations, etc) for music, anime, and video games. Even if people don’t like what you like, as long as you aren’t bashing things, then people won’t be as put off by your opinion as they sometimes can be.

Keep it positive, and over time it should garner to a wider audience.

I especially like the music reviews, because if it wasn’t for you, I wouldn’t listen to half the stuff I do today :)

p.s. go see Stephen King’s The Mist, i guarantee you will like it.

  4. karmicthreat Says:

Oh and since I’m not auth’d on the forum yet. If its an actual problem with the temp sensor (there is no actual fan sensor) you can bypass the entire thing with a resistor. It should be around 15K Ohm for cold and around 400 Ohm for hot. So maybe solder a 1K ohm resistor on it and see if the fans kick on.

Probably not a permanent fix in the dead of winter, but will probably keep it working till you can get a new sensor.

    Nice update it really is

Hi, Brian! I have a myspace but i’m not there all the time.. and i have the choice to accept or refuse “friends”. I know it’s only virtual contacts. I have a “real life” and it’s more important that internet.. I think internet is useful for have informations but i don’t want to be dependent of it..
“the end of civilization is coming to us soon” that what you said.. for me, i don’t think human are civilized.. always the killer instinct inside..

your site is great and i hope it will be there for a long time..
    Best thinkings from france!

  8. aaroN Says:

    where’d the community/forum go? 0_o

i dont have these ps3 games or a ps3 even, but i read the reviews you post. it helps me to become familiar with the games and even help recommend them to other people. and if i come into possession of a ps3, then it gives me games to choose from and knowing what i can expect from them. so far game review wise, none of my comments would really have any depth to them. i spend time looking through all of the site areas, its a good concept having it this way. its much more fun to look around and read about cool things we have interest in. music, games, movies, tv shows, anime, gear, vac! everything!

can we submit reviews to you and have you post them too? to better interact with the site, and share some of our thoughts on these topics?

  9. admin Says:

I added the forum link back with a big graphic this time..

And yeah the ps3 is my fav console of all time now. i love it.

We are still working on this site, it’s not finished yet, we are still designing it, and slowly it will evolve more and more, and we hope it changes often and looks fresh all the time..

  10. Pulse Says:

Really a good place with a lot of things to read and see.
The gear section is my paradise.

  11. Menschenfeind Says:

i think it’s better than the old one… though it might be better to make 2 sections: one for VAC news, lyrics, studio vids and so on and another one for reviews etc…
would make it more clearly arranged…

I am a relatively new VAC fan. I think your music is the shit. However, I am having a little trouble figuring what discs to buy. Im looking for a little advice. Also is there a disc or a place I can get, Dead is the New Alive (remix) that song is sick. let a brother know. thanks

  13. digital_sacrilege Says:

I think the commenter above has missed the point of like EVERYTHING you said in this post, ha. Anyway, I request VAC EVERYTIME I go to a club. So far, I have heard:
    Apflux
    Dead Tomorrow
    Dial 8
    Fun With Drugs
    Futile (Nazi Bastard Mix)
    Futile 98
    Let’s Kill All These Motherfuckers
    Malfunction
    Never Worship

LKATM always packs the floor, Apflux is hit or miss depending on the crowd that night, FWD, Dial 8, Malfunction, and Never Worship packed the floor. The others were songs that only a few danced to, and you can tell that htey either were big VAC fans, or big fans of the genre outside of what’s popular right now.

The stuff that’s popular right now, the one dimensional club stuff, it’s just ruining the scene right now, and I think that’s the result of the scene being more widespread and popular - a bunch of people who don’t know shit just come in and dance to catchy mainstream beats and know nothing about musicality, skill, or the history of their scene. It sucks. Great bands like Numb, old FLA, Skinny Puppy - I never hear them at clubs, just God Module, Combichrist, and VNV Nation over and over again :(

  14. spilltheblood7 Says:

someone help me out here, I own Lust For Blood, what other VAC discs should I get. I want that song Dead is the New Alive on disc, some help please!!!

  15. NeurologicalGenocide Says:

Hello Bryan.Longtime VAC fan here. I enjoy the new site design and everything you’ve written on the site.I think its a good thing as all the things you speak, allow fans a closer look into your life and the things you do in your life. Its nice to see all the reviews.I will agree that Elfen Lied is one of the best animes ever.Definetly one of my faves along with Trinity Blood and Ergo Proxy. Two animes (well one is a manga movie) that I would suggest if you havent been able to watch yet would be Dead Leaves and Texchnolyze. Is the ps3 really worth buying? I get aggravated with the 360 with its glitch and freeze tendencies. What RPG’s do you play?

Anyway I just want to say that I know it seems you dont get the kind of support some other acts do but you have alot of diehard fans out there.I know of quite a few and we allows make everyone buy VAC stuff and wont let them burn any VAC haha.So just know we are out there.

  16. admin Says:

deZtornmind: the new site is a simple blog, and no, it is not a piece of art, but we will try to update it, we are using wordpress now, and this is a modified version of the “hitch” theme.. So yell at him for it ahahaah.

I just want it to be functional. And no i am not really a media hub per say, i’m just review things that influence me, and trying to turn my fans onto things they may not of heard or seen before. thats all. and mainstream media is bad. But i’m not into the mainstream. That is not the point here. this is about the underground.. I won’t change the site back.. sorry. it’s got all most the same information.

And what is the point of living if i have to be fake, and put on a face for all you fans so i don’t piss you off over and opinion and ruin your image of me.. hrm. Fuck myspace. I don’t care who i piss off.

  17. admin Says:

NeurologicalGenocide: The ps3 is worth it, i got mine used for 360 dollars with 2 controllers and resistance fall of man and motorstorm. So it was a steal for me.

But now even at 500, the thing is worth it. And at that 500 you get like 5 or 10 blueray movies with it. if you don’t care about backwards compat, then get the 40 gig version which is 399, if you do, hunt down a 60 gig used or new. it’s worth it.

I am playing old rpgs again(ff8, vagrant story), because all the new one’s suck, i was sick of final fantasy 12, the story sucked, and the game played too much like a mmorpg, not to mention it was more like programming robots with scripts than fighting in an rpg. The ps2 was a real let down for me on the rpg front, the last great rpgs i played were on the dreamcast, skies of arkadia and grandia 2, those were the last good rpgs, star ocean on the ps2 was the best one besides final fantasy 10, 10 x2 is the biggest piece of this on the pace of this earth. So ff10 and star ocean were just ok, not great. My buddy ben swears by the xenosage crap, but i dont like it.

But man, warhawk, oblivion, Heavenly Sword, Resistance, Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune, and call of duty 4 really make the ps3 worth it for video games. metal gear 4 will be amazing, as will killzone 2 and final fantasy 13.. for this, yes it’s worth it.

The 360 is mostly pc ports of first person shooters, The ps3 has enough of that and then all the cool console style games that the 360 doesn’t have like ratchet and clank and drake’s not to mention god of war(coming soon) and heavenly sword, if your 360 doesn’t break and it runs smoothly, it’s a cool system especial for gears of war and all the pc port first person shooters. But if you are more into console gaming like i am the ps3 is the better machine. not to mention the playstation all ways gets the most rpgs. the ps3 is way more stable and is reliable, break downs are rare.

spilltheblood7: Go through the discography and listen to the clips and watch the videos, this will give you a better idea on where to go.

Click Here! to look through the discography.

but fun with knives would be my recomendation if you like the techno side of vac, if you like the goth side of vac bte vol 2, if you like the industrial side its calling of the dead.

  19. admin Says:

Digital: I had no idea you got me played so often… wow. how big is the scene there tho, and packing the floor means nothing if there is only 50 people at the club hahahaha. i should pay you cause you promote me so much.. ahahah

  20. spilltheblood7 Says:

Thanks, I did check the discography—-Last time I bother you about this, where can I find Dead is The New Alive club mix??? Appreciate the help

  21. infectedangelkiller Says:

I love VAC’s new site I read everything on it I loved the old site but Im all for this new site its got a lot of great stuff on here amazing job Bryan!! ^.^

  22. NeurologicalGenocide Says:

Bryan: Thanks for taking the time to respond.I do definetly want to eventually purchase the PS3.I dont want to miss Final Fantasy 13 and Final Fantasy Versus.I agree for sure that the PS2 has a severe downfall for the RPG’s.Outside of Final Fantasy 7&8,the storylines were in a freefall and seem to mimic eachother the last few years.PSone held alot of greats though with FF,Suikoden,Breath Of Fire,Vandal Hearts,Legend Of Dragoon,Ogre Battle. If you havent heard or tried the Suikoden series,I would definetly suggest them.Specifically if you can get your hands on Suikoden 1 or 2.!08 possible characters in each game and allows alot of variables and mixed strategy/rpg elements.

As you said,I mainly use the 360 for the shooters.Gears of War and Halo series mainly. But ive always been a PS person.I saw on one of your game reviews, that you said Assassains Creed was definetly not up to par. What was wrong with it? I know the previews looked amazing so im wondering where the actual product falters.I was thinking of getting it for the 360 (until I can ever get a ps3) but i’ll prob lean more towards Call Of Duty 4 and Bladestorm:Thousand Years War.

I am curious to what your opinion is on asian horror films? And your preferance between the original and american remakes? I personally have a distaste for most of the american remakes as they fail to even realize the components of asian horror.

    weeeee!! =p

oh ya, i think your psp and ps3 combo is working out good. you get to play all of the classic ps1 and ps2 games (as well as stuff from sega and nintendo, you can get games like sonic and mortal kombat on homebrew too), and you also get to play all of the new games for ps3. when i get my psp back im gonna try to install homebrew again and replay all of these games that i once had so much fun playing back in the 90s and early 2000s. the first time installing, it really fucked up my psp to where i couldnt use any UMD disc in it. but it will go better next time. youve gotten me interested in using my psp again, its just been collecting dust literally and ive been letting it be used as a substitute mp3 player for my brother, lol. so much for getting it when it came out, havent done much with it. but i have GTA liberty city stories on it, but its been so long since i played it. its a fun game but i liked GTA 3 way better on the ps2.

    -_-

  25. spilltheblood7 Says:

thanks for the help, wish I could add more to the ps3 talk, but its not my thing

  26. digital_sacrilege Says:

Bryan: I have even bugged DJs when I requested your stuff and would hear two VNV Nation songs and two Combichrist songs, and not VAC, and then they’d play it. Scene in Philly is huge, Philly is an electronic city, not very Goth, so the clubs cater more to electro industrial. Hundreds of people go to the most popular night out here, so when I say it packs the floor, trust me, it does, haha. Digital Sacrilege might be coming to an end sadly, but that will make way for a new solo project where I don’t have to worry about the burdens that having another singer put on my shoulders, and it will definitely be way more progressive than DS was, hahaha. I will never stop promoting VAC, no matter where I go. I wore my VAC shirt when I was over in Prague, haha.

  27. axentric Says:

    Yes it look really awesome!

I dread web coding hence why my site is never complete or down. hehe

Hope all is well and healthy with you! Miss you! *hugs

  28. pathogenocide Says:

    hey bryan,

to give you my honest critique, i think the new graphic is very cool, and i like how you’ve kept the sort of forum idea going, almost like a hangout. i think some people might give you some shit about the way the navigation looks but i think it works well with your overall idea (and they’re probably getting spammed to tears on myspace, haha) you’ve kept it informative, and i like that. you give really practical gear reviews!

  29. DAYS in EXILE Says:

Awesome new site Bryan! I love all the reviews and have been reading every single one. I’m definitely buying Call of Duty 4 after reading your review. I would have commented more but my email marked my registration emails as “spam” and I just now figured it out hahah o_O

  30. funkerfla242 Says:

just happened to swing by the site, no idea it was being updated…but like the new layout. liked it in the old site when you spoke more about every individual track, such as songs that you just came up with on the spot, and the influences on each track. but other than that, i think the new version is much better. and Lust for Blood is amazing. from start to finish. congrats on that.

  31. Zillah Says:

The site looks wonderful. New layout is tasty and makes my brain very happy (which one can sometimes do with string or something shiny, of course). *grin*

Darlin’, you do get club play:
The last time that I was out, Speedball OD came on. When it did, the dancefloor (that formerly had /2/ people on it) filled and overflowed. It’s a large dancefloor, Bryan, so no grumbling and thinking that your music was getting played while only 8 or 10 people danced and got into it. :P

You already know my thoughts on Lust for Blood, soooo…

  32. Infested_Coma Says:

    Hi Bryan,

Diehard VAC fan here. Managed to get some VAC played in those rare goth clubs I go to (there are so few South of France). Some of my favorite songs went on (The Hand Cut Throat Psycho, Decypher Force=Authority RMX, and even the original Futile song), and I was pleased to see that most of the guys there recognised it as VAC !

But France is really turning into a wreck of a country, now that we have this reptilian-puppet fuckface president up on control here(thanks to the greedy, mind-controlled people that crowds France). I’m so angry at how all of this goes, how people are getting more blind and stupid each day, I’m losing hope gradually as well.. Maybe that’s why I found echo, understanding and even comfort in VAC. I feel the same as it does.. Hate for the human race and despair when facing future… And you are right about Myspace (in fact you are right about so many things, now that I come to think of it), it really is a tool for covert control.
Government evolved with humanity. If it puts overt control upon people, they will get angry and start to get rebellious. If it puts covert control, and make those sheep believe they are free, just like in the Matrix, then you can control them indefinetely. The first Matrix was so right about so many things, and look how the two others turned out =D. Lack of inspiration from the authors ? I don’t think so.
So I hope everything turns out for the better for you at last. You deserve so much for what you bring on to our feeble ears. Just two or three points to bring up before I close this comment.

The site is brilliant !! Wonderful job ! Plus the fact most of my favorite songs are there (Serial Killer 101, The Hand, Never Worship..), hope we will be able to see my utmost FAVORITE AWESOME beautiful VAC song (Falling Snow, I really cried on this one..). What happened also to the Oblivion Interface songs ? I can’t find them anywhere on the Web exept for FOUR songs (I’m jonesing so harshly)..
And… well you know.. keep yourself together you rock man !! Keep up the mental resistance. And let us hope you never get near Verichip (this fucking shit already started in Europe. Are people that dumb or what ?!) !

    ALL Hail Hexfix !

    :)

  35. XxJabxX Says:

Cool site. i like it. i wish i could make a site of my own. = (. but whay dont you try something diffrent. try to come up with a concept. like if you would make your own anime movie or even a video game, what would it be about? and try to that that idea and then put it as a concept for the cd. its like making a story but in a music type of sense. i hope this helps you out.

  36. industrialjunky Says:

    Hey Bryan,
I absolutely love what you’ve done with the website!! Your efforts and hard work are greatly appreciated. I love that you’re as involved and as interactive with your fans on the site as you are. It means allot to us that you always keep it real.
You’re like King Midas….everything you touch, turns to gold.
Keep up the great work and again, thanx for everything that you’ve done!!

  38. t1Mgauthier Says:

As far as your struggle for inspiration for new musical ideas goes, EVERYTHING you’ve done so far, is nothing less than genious, and each song/album has come in it’s own due time, and from it’s own inspiration, so don’t feel pressured. When it comes, it comes, and it will be perfect just like everything else you’ve done so far. Your morning shit has more talent in it than what 3/4 of this world possess combined, so relax. There’s no pressure. When it comes, it comes. Who would have thought when you composed Ghost In The Circuit, that it would have been one of the most sincere things you’d ever recorded considering the openness of your lyrical style in general. Like I said bro, take the time, it will come, and when it does….it will be just as flawless as everything else you’ve done.
